Nicely written. I am also a proud indian but the fact is india economy is overrated by far. The money coming in from FII's will vanish the moment they see there is no money to be made in India. They will pack their bags and run away. I just visited india 1 month back, the situation hasn't improved at all except stock market and real estate. In india, the problem is people think about their own money. Everyone wants to be a millionaire but they dont care about infrastructure. When i was walking on the street, yeah seriously there are no pavements. it was built and within 10 days occupied by street sellers, bhaiyaas and what not. You need to walk on the very road. I was so scared that someone will bump off me. Our great metro train project for mumbai will complete in 2021 lol. is that a joke? it takes 14 years to build a metro service? Look who got the contract, anil ambani. Now they even started bidding for the second Metro Phase 2 when phase 1 has not even commenced. Last 1 year they are sitting on their ass, and counting money. It was supposed to be started in 2006. Lets get this straight, people dont care about india. They just care about personal wealth and it doesnt matter if you are a millionair or a billionaire. You and a begger on a street is at same level when you are on the road.
From the list, I picked India. But don't forget Romania either, we have been largely underdeveloped until recently and are catching up big time. A lot of niche opportunities here. It's not as big as India/China/Brazil/Mexico or Japan, but there's definitely a lot of niche potential here
Yeah a lot of people here who voted for india live there and its kinda just country pride but truth is india will still be far behind but at least they got hope?
There is a surely a hope but everyone needs to work towards it. People have completely misunderstood the idea of growth and prosperity.
China has a big advantage in the production of oil. China produces 3.6 million barrels per day vs 785k for India. At $100 a barrel that's a lot of rupees.
china, because corruption level in india is higher than china. I've worked with chinese and indians, chinese are very hardworking and honest people. China's growth is reason of proud for asian countries whereas India's increasing atomic power is security threat in the region and kashmir(indian occupied territory, about which UN has passed resolutions but don't have the power to implement it)
Get your history right. Kashimir is not a indian occupied territory. Thats pure BS. Kashmir was originally a part of India and now POK- which is known as Pakistan occupied kashmir was stolen by pakistan from India on account of pure flase claims and cold war. UN was too lame to support pakistan when they know that every inch of kashmir belongs to India. Get more education here: http://www.indianembassy.org/policy/Kashmir/Kashmir_MEA/POK.html
It's been said that India have the greatest potential because of his very intelligent and hardworking people...
It's got to be India!..India have expanded well with proper investment in IT and education. China is expanding with brute force and unfortunately because they're not keep control of quality in their manufacture they're on the recieving end of an increasing backlash against them.
IT is growing in China as well, and what we need is qualified IT employees. Having too many IT employees doesn't mean much as long as they're not qualified. Communism is not a disadvantage for China. Also, China has a huge population and that's big advantage for them.
China is really good at industrial production. A lot of the Indian IT is call centers and data processing whereas China is increasing in engineering.
