Visitors Source ...?

Google Analytics shows 3/4th of the visitors coming from these 3 major sources, and has no relevance:
mobilnisvet.com
banka.zepter.co.yu
otp banka

I don't understand what relevance have these sources for my client's online e-commerce perfume selling site in USA? And how come these sources anything to do with our client website? There is no links given or shared, no associates sellers whatsoever, no relationship at all with these sources. Its weird yet puzzling. Any clue or reason?

 

I have sum funny stuff like that, i.e referral from website with no links to me...i guess all websites stats have issues with their tracking systems.

 

It may be referrer spam.

 

^^thats right.. i also have some of that.. the worst thing that happen is from adult site..

 

Is there any way to stop such spamming-referral sites?

 

Seems like those sites liked your site... They found another way to spam another site

 

I don't get it
Why would anyone do this kind of spamming?
usually when people spam, they do it because they can get money or somthing
out of it
what would anyone gain by doing "referrer spam"
