Well, it just makes me think of that new movie - The Bucket List. It's like-- if you knew exactly when you're going to die, wouldn't you want to check a few things off of your list before you kick the bucket?
I saw this show on TLC a long time ago about the world ending on 12/12/2012 and apparently all of our technology and appliances are going to come to life and turn against us (seriously...oh ya and also our domestic pets!!!) It was pretty funny when they showed a dramatization of a guy in his kitchen who had his tie stuck in the blender and then the waffle maker jumped up on his face, of course leaving the waffle grill marks on his face. So, my advice: no waffles on 12/12/2012!!

I think I've seen this before, but it's really interesting. However, it has little to do with the end of the world as far as I can tell .. ?
They Mayans were experts in mathematics and astronomy and have predicted the collison of an asteroid on that date.
World may end, or maybe already ended. IMO, its not outsiders who will destroy earth, its actually insiders.
Even if it ends tomorrow is not decided by us. We still need to work, need to study, need to post on forums, need to eat, need to drink......... No point worrying about something we cannot control.
