Google it "Windows vista manager" Edit: yeah, seem like you missed some files.. when you was installing...
thats Microsoft for you! always missing file but they always put the BSOD in their don't they? thats not missing is it!
Hahah I just realised I don't even have glass!! When I click hold on a window I cannot see the window behind it.
Maybe it's graphics driver (integrated GPUs don't support Aero in most cases) or you don't have DWM enabled. Either way, Flip 3D won't work if you have Aero disabled.
Here is a screenshot to show that I cannot even Select aero so get no glass or flip3d edit: dammit now I have to pay extra for a videocard =(
Means your graphics card does not support that feature, when you first install Vista, it runs tests to see if your pc can do certain things/tasks, these are called benchmarks.
Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Performance Information and Tools, and Vista will tell you your total score, for example here's mine; Those score are determined when you install Vista and like 'Aimshotz' said, whatever score your computer gets depends on what features Vista installs.
Your video ain't good enough for microsoft to let you use 3d fliping. BUT, that's only because they love to make you give money for a new graphics card, when your old one can still do it. Google for WinFlip and download it and see that even on best graphics quality in it's settings it flips even better than in the original one in Vista. I tested it myself on an old graphics card which microsoft say isn't for 3d flipping, but with WinFlip it worked excellent.
