They aren't changing their algorithms. They have been giving a boost to fresh content for a long time.
As they said, Google is not Change Their Algorithms but they are more focus to on-page on content like Wikipedia and other informative sites.
They have to continually create news so that all attention will be focused on them and not on their competitors. You hardly heard of Live or Yahoo search engines!
It is my belief that Google will take the small steps change pattern from now on, since they can't afford to throw their algorithm in the air. Because they will if they apply this. And wikipedia, I'm sorry to say, already has too much power. I'm a fan of wikipedia, I use it on a daily basis in my research, but some of the stuff I find is simply outrageous or not documented enough. I'm able to distinguish between the good and the bad info for the most part, but what about the other hundred million surfers that visit the site?
@ obay algorithms for pagerank and serp ect... and i see this article as nothing more then link bait... I see no really source either
Lately, you write any crap or BS about google, you get free linkbacks. I am thinking to start a google rumour blog, am sure to get minimum 10 links each day. I can just blabber everyday about things which i made up while drinking coffee in the morning. This news is pure BS.
It's referring to the mathematical algorithm that Google uses to calculate the rank of each web page, in the results for a specific keyword. For example, when you type: "blue cars" in Google, the results are calculated after a specific (yet hidden to us) algorithm performed by Google on websites related to "blue cars". Hope this helps.
I know for a fact that Google will not make any significant changes to their algo . Digg is already indexed rapidly by google. The spider is not as smart as people think.
Isn't that a good strategy? Plus, if you link to google's blog, you get a link back on the trackback instantly - which will drives you tons of traffic for a few days. Makes me feels like starting a google rumours blog as well, care to link exchange there? ha!~
