adbrite - network ads

hi

i added adbrite code to my site via the publisher thing, however all i see on my site is

i am not looking for people to directly buy ads on my site, im looking to display run of network CPM only ads (not cpc)

does anyone know how i set this up?

I think you've set up a new ad zone, correct?
Even if you selected the network ads option it takes a couple of days for them to display correctly.
Be patient.

 

yes i added a new ad zone, its a few days old now and no change

i dont know where to select the network ads option though, where is that?

For publishers -> Manage ad zones -> Ad formats (for zone of interest) -> Text links only
I also recommend you tick the inlines box.
I think that should do it.

 

so adbrite CPM is text ads only? i had "text and banner" selected so maby that was it

the reason i selected text and banner because it says "Banners pay on a CPM basis" wheras under text it says "Display network CPC text ads "
i will re-add the code and wait the 3 hrs for it to activate

do the ads also have to be manually activated by adbrite staff?

i added a text add only and all it still says is "your ad here" no sign of network ads

 

I takes a few days for ads to appear on your zone. If not, contact support, they are very helpful!

The text ads are only CPC ads. To get CPM ads you have to use the banner formats. Auto-approve network ads will show banners mostly but when the CPM ads run out of daily funding it will show text ads in CPC format and few CPM ones too.

 

Yeah, like half the western world they don't work over the Christmas and New Year period. They would get around to approving your ad zones if you were just a little patient.

 

adbrite will often try to keep a few of the "Advertise on the Site" ads as it promotes their own service!

 

for one ad zone i have been waiting over 2 weeks, another 2-3 days as i already stated, so thanks for your input.
