Hey, As you can see here http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction?domain=www.400fonts.com my website is a predicted PR5. Do you think this is very accurate? :]
some of them are just counting the backlinks... so i can say that they are just giving an estimate result...
They are simply using the number of backlinks as their calculation. We do need to take note of the content of our sites and quality + relevancy of all backlinks.
It doesn't hurt to look at them, and they can be sort of a rough idea of around where you are going to end up, but they are not accurate enough to rely strongly on.
It doesn't cost you to look at them or anything, but they aren't very accurate. Mine said expected 3.4 and I got a 2
Can anyone guess backlink Vs PR - Here is my guess No of backlink PR 10 1 50 2 100 3 500 4 1000 5 5000 6 10000 7 50000 8 100000 9 500000 10 Time pass
The number of backlinks is not important. It is the PR of every backlink that counts. It is better to have 10 backlinks from PR5 pages than 1000 backlinks from PR 0 pages.
Indeed. This fact is reality and something you can't run away from. Get quality one way links are the best and is Google's preferred link method.
Actually, that's not totally true... Having only backlinks from pr5 pages will sound off the "SPAM" radar.. You need to have some pr0's,1's,2's and so on...
I never said that you should have ONLY PR 5 backlinks, because naturally that is impossible. I'm just saying that people should not run after backlinks from PR0 pages with 200 outgoing links on them (points at free directories).
They are all crap.. They just rely on backlinks only.. not the PR algorithm of Google....Dont rely on it too much. They give inaccurate results....
