I think the Chinese are trying to kill us

I came to this conclusion last night when we were poppng fireworks. That crap goes haywire and backfires. Ducking and dodging hot flaming balls of fire and sparks.

    Our fireworks come from China!

Then I starting thinking about the big thing about lead painted childrens toys. Come on, they're just kids.

Oh and the big pet food recalls we had. They're after the pets too!

The Chinese won't want to kill you, one simple reason they hold so much of the treasury bonds, anything happen to USA may hurt them a lot in their pockets. I would say they are now praying hard for you so that the sub prime crisis does not go out of hand.

Lead in toys etc are individual unscrupulous vendors trying to make a quick buck, I do not think there is any conspiracy with the Chinese government. I would think the Chinese government would punish these severely as it hurts their reputation and for Chinese "face" is everything.

Yes happened in the '80s also. Not a big flap about it like there is now though. Just shows you how stuff gets blown out of proportion these days.

Well we shall be thankful for that.. I am all for peace!

As the words of one of all time favorite songs.. This song says it all in so few words.. The truth (peace) shall always win!

    Enjoy,

    ONE TIN SOLDIER

Listen children to a story that was written long ago
'bout a kingdom on a mountain and the valley folk below.
On the mountain was a treasure buried deep beneath a stone,
and the valley people swore they'd have it for their very own.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of heaven, justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowin' come the judgment day
on the bloody morning after one tin soldier rides away.

So the people of the valley sent a message up the hill
asking for the buried treasure, tons of gold for which they'd kill.
Came an answer from the kingdom: "With our brothers we will share
all the secrets of our mountain, all the riches buried there."

Go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of heaven, justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowin' come the judgment day
on the bloody morning after one tin soldier rides away.

Now the valley cried with anger; mount your horses, draw your sword,
and they killed the mountain people, so they won their just reward.
Now they stood beside the treasure on the mountain, dark and red,
turned the stone and looked beneath it. "Peace on earth" was all it said.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of heaven, justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowin' come the judgment day
on the bloody morning after one tin soldier rides away.
