How Much Do You Think MySpace Makes With Adsense?

Google is likely to pay $900M to MySpace parent Fox Interactive Media over 3 years, according to this SearchEngineWatch article - that works out to $25M/month or ~$9.50/second.

Having worked until recently at an SEM firm managing $400M+ in annual spend, I can't say I ever heard anything about MySpace traffic converting. IMO Google.com search traffic converts well enough that Google can buy topline growth via deals for non-converting traffic such as MySpace.

I don't think Myspace traffic would convert well for advertisers.
Like CPM ads, some people use bots and go threw several thousand page impression a day. I think Myspace put Adbrite banners on the site
they would get banned for invalid impressions. Also alot the users their are teenagers and they don't have CC or paypal and probably don't buy anything.

Google had a chance to buy mypace for 290 million dollars and didn't buy it. Today myspace accounts for 400 million dollars of Google's annual revenue. Google blew that one. Who said that Google was so smart?

I did some calculations and I believe it's about $23,328,000 a month.

 

Trust me they aren't hurting. $900M guaranteed minimum over 3.5 years. So yeah that is 21+ million a month from Google minimum. That doesn't include all their music deals and such.
