Here is the link from Gigaom about the possibility that never happened. Fox Media/Rupert Murdoch still owns myspace. There was talk last summer)6/2007.

Btw I thought Google wanted Facebook

Google doesn't needs Myspace, it already has Orkut, which is doing really well.

because it's gone to shit ever since fox bought it
it was possible to make $100k per month (no joke, I know a few people who did) from myspace alone
but now, almost impossible (nothings fully impossible)

and now people are censored a lot with what they can put in their profiles

    and yea

    OH, also knowing google
like with what they're planning / are doing with youtube
    revenue sharing anyone?

I could easily obtain a 100k friend account, and... yeah ;)
I could only imagine how much $$$ I'd make if I posted a few bulletins per day

[more to come, just gotta go eat :)]

If you have a Gmail account. Than click on your settings it should be in the drop list of all the Google gmail things, even down to a link to adsense/adwords and the checkout and blogger.

Good things never last forever. I can remember too when people made so much just from MySpace, but people got carried away, started spamming which attracted more spammers and made the market over-saturated

Indeed this is true. And plenty of spammers with phishing sites.

It’s a social networking site, though it’s only accessible to those who have Gmail accounts. Its quite famous in Asian countries

I guess we all need to get ready for the next big hit website, just like YouTube and Myspace. :)

I think it was Fox Networks who bought it at first for like 300mill, for its advertising space. Then google bought it...

not sure. whatever is going on, I know that Tom is SUPER RICH.

Ummm I dont really think Google bought myspace. To my knowledge News Corp(Rupert Murdoch) still owns Myspace.

And the answers over at Yahoo Answers says that TOM owns Myspace. ROFL
