I'd say 75% intentional and 25% accidental because people normally click ads because they are looking for content that your website can't give, so they look elsewhere.
I would say that 60% of the people click on ads because they are interested. 25% click because they are curious (These people never buy/join anything.) 15% click accidentally (I do this sometimes when I'm lazy on my laptop.) Note: I have no evidence to back up my claims. These information are just speculation.
It really depends on how well your ads blend in with the rest of your site. Banner ads will drive a higher percentage of intentional clicks. Text ads that are colour coded with the rest of your site and blend in well will draw a higher percentage of accidental clicks.
lol, tell you what, I often click the adsense ads intending to help the webmasters to make a few more cents, lol
What is your intention-to get intentional or accidental clicks Well i say if you are blending your ads and trying to cover it up as much as possible to look like a part of your website, then you are being a party to get accidental clicks As far as i m concerned it all depends on what the visitor does after the click- --> if he stays on and gets interested in the clicked site, then the click becomes intentional --> if he comes back to your website after clicking on the ad, then i say it was accidental If i m not wrong this is what intentional and accidental click is defined by adsense
Please.... don't help me. I don't want your help. You're not doing anyone any favors. Please don't do it. You're the kind that causes advertisers to drop out of Adsense or lower bids because of low conversion rates.
Yeah..... bad idea. I would think that most of the clicks are intentional, I only rarely have clicked an advertisement by accident.
I think most of the sites that are saying that they get good income off of adsense are set up in a way that MOST of the clicks are either accidental, or at least due to a confusing layout, where it is hard to tell that you are clicking on an ad. (have you seen most of the proxy sites nowadays? most of them put the adsense click spots within a millimeter of the 'enter' button, so you really have to be careful not to click on the ad, and they make the colors as blended and confusing too) It is a big problem, I think, because the legit sites that have good content and make sure that ads are separated and well marked are not making much money out of adsense... but the ones that are making lots of money and high ctr are basically not doing the advertisers (the ones paying the bills) any good.... I can see an advertiser backlash in the future as more advertisers don't see value for the money they are spending
I click ads if i see something very interesting. like if im at a gamme site and see a ad for 25% off a psp game (example) i'll click to check it out
They click if they want to know more about what that ad is talking about. Some clicks however are accidental
