I have written my first proper blog post on Zorg Directory Blog.

Its an easy to follow article containing a tutorial on how you can track where a submission came from using google analytics.

It will tell you the website or search engine where the customer came from, what they searched for and much more.

    Read the blog post here

Tracking Directory Submissions in phpLD with Google Analytics

Feedback appreciated. Hope you will use it. Feel free to linkback or post a comment :)

Mikey that is really a brilliant tutorial on tracking the conversions. Very nicely done with the screen shots.
I will be doing this on my directory soon.

Excellent blog post and yes it does work. I've used Analytics on Jooomla for over 3 months and the picture it builds over time is fascinating. The drill down into detail is just astonishing and, if your into where your traffic comes from, far exceeds anything else as a measurement.

    good work mikey...

this is another key step to success. It will allow the owners to track where the traffic is coming from and advertise in a smarter manner.
