    What worked for me was buying a house, getting married, and having kids. Nothing stops a drinking routine like being in the poorhouse. ;)

    watch your weight! drinkers who stop suddenly find something else to fill the gap and usually they have a huge sweets problem after that and pack on the pounds quick.

    Many lose weight, I lost tons of weight when I quit drinking. Alcohol is loads of empty calories.

    Overweight? Do deadlifts.

    Working out and drinking does not go hand in hand. Once you get heavy into lifting the last thing you want to do is drink or smoke destroying what you worked so hard for.
