We knock on the doors of people with other candidates' signs in their yards. We have removed John Edwards signs and replaced them with Ron Paul signs on request by the homeowner. Two days ago, a 4 x 8 Hillary sign was hauled down at the owners request and replaced with a Ron Paul sign. The support for opposition candidates tends to be paper thin. When confronted with the facts, many voters are flipped to Ron Paul.

Just today I left a slim Jim on a door while canvassing. The homeowner returned before we left the area and chased us down and said, "You'd better take this back before I through it in the trash." He was a Kucinich supporter who hates republicans. We talked on the street for about 10 minutes about the war, the corporations, and civil liberties. He left with a Ron Paul DVD and he said that if Ron Paul finishes in the top 3 in Iowa, he would
vote for him in the NH primary on Jan 8th.

One of the most effective tools that we have here has been the US Constitution. People in NH take the Constitution more seriously than do the people of any other state that I have seen. I have seen unregistered non-voters commit to register and vote for Ron Paul based on Ron Paul's support for the Constitution. We use the Cato Institute version which is a very nice copy with gold lettering on the cover. It stands out sharply against the piles of mail from opposition candidates.

The impact on the ground of the OLFD grassroots volunteers has made an enormous impact. No other candidate has anything close to what we have. Yesterday in Franklin, NH, I saw a lone Hillary canvasser making her rounds through the same neighborhood that 4 Ron Paul canvassers were covering. This was in a small town with a total of ten Ron Paul canvassers. A week ago I saw a lone Obama canvasser who was competing against 6 Ron Paulers in a minivan.

Mr. Paul's total is all the more impressive because, unlike other candidates, few of his donors are giving the maximum $2,300 check. About 90 percent of Mr. Paul's contributions come through online donations that average $100 per donor, said his spokesman, Jesse Benton. "We have powerful grassroots support," he said. "It shows how hungry people are for real change."

Paul Partisans See Montana Opportunity

Texas Congressman Ron Paul bested all other Republican Presidential candidates in the Oklahoma Conservative Political Action Committee (OCPAC) straw poll conducted earlier this month, according to recently released results.

In the poll â€“ conducted December 16th â€“ Congressman Paul received 44 percent of the vote, more than double that of second place Fred Thompson (17 percent). Mike Huckabee and Tom Tancredo tied for third place with 11 percent and no other candidate received double digit support.

â€œGrassroots conservatives are sick and tired of business as usual in Washington, DC,â€ said Ron Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. â€œDr. Paulâ€™s message of limited government, respect for individual rights, and strict adherence to the Constitution resonates with citizens of the Sooner State.â€

Congressman Paul also finished first in an email poll conducted by OCPAC, with 45 percent of the vote. In the email poll Mike Huckabee received 17 percent of the vote followed by Duncan Hunter with 15 percent and Fred Thompson at 14 percent. No other candidate received more than 5 percent.

Despite surveys indicating that a Ron Paul presidency is about as likely as a balmy January day in Iowa, young supporters who have flocked to the Lake Jackson Republican's campaign remain upbeat as Thursday's Iowa caucuses approach.

"Do I expect him to be president? I think so," said John Zambenini, a 22-year-old Dayton, Ohio, native who became the campaign's Iowa spokesman in October, a month after he first heard the name Ron Paul. "I think the more Americans know about Ron Paul, they will realize we cannot afford not to have him as president."

Paul's Iowa campaign claims more than 300 volunteers from 39 states and four foreign countries. Most are bivouacked at seven camps across the state and driven into towns for door-to-door campaigning.

"It's like herding cats," said Jeff Frazee, a Houston native and Texas A&M graduate who is Paul's national youth coordinator.

Dems will have to work hard to vote in the Republican primary -- and Democrats are not known for working hard.

Independents and new voters are famously unreliable.

No real Reagan Republican would support Ron Paul. Reagan knew that a good offense was the best -- and only -- defense against terrorism. Ron Paul's plan to defeat terrorism is to build a wall to keep the Mexicans out.

Rasmussen shows it much closer... 17% for McCain at #1 and 7% for Paul. Plus national numbers don't really mean much at this point. What happens in Iowa and NH could change everything.

That's not true man. The Reagan presidency was rather peaceful if you look back at it. At least in comparison to what's going on these days. If you look back to what Reagan was saying to get elected, a lot of it is very similar to what Paul is saying now.

While most of the politicians vying for their party's nomination for President of the United States pay lip service to the nation's law enforcement officers, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is actually doing something to earn the respect and gratitude of America's cops, according to many police officers and organizations.

For example, the American Federation of Police -- with well over 100,000 members -- recently praised Ron Paul for introducing a bill that would help cops obtain topnotch body armor that would withstand rounds fired from most firearms. Rep. Paul's bill -- HR 3304 -- would amend the Internal Revenue Code to provide for a tax credit to law enforcement officers who purchase their own body armor.

"I urge all police officers and concerned citizens to contact their congressmen and ask them to support Rep. Paul's bill," said Deputy Sheriff Dennis Wise, president of the American Federation of Police.

"I would also like to applaud Congressman Ron Paul for his support and forward thinking in trying to help make law enforcement officers across our nation safer each day," said Wise.

Rep. Ron Paul appears to be popular with many US cops. "He's never found it necessary to force police officers to stand with him for photo opportunities the way other presidential candidates such as Hillary Clinton do," said New York Police Officer Edna Aguayo.

One police officer claims cops in New York and other states are forced to pose with the likes of Senators Hillary Clinton and John McCain. If an officer refuses, he or she is charged with insubordination by their superiors.

"It's a joke how these cops are used as props during election campaigns. But Ron Paul doesn't pay cops lip service -- he actually works to help them enforce the law," said another cop forced to pose with Sen. Clinton during one of her staged "rallies."

Public opinion service Rasmussen Reports recently released data from its October 12-14 polling that indicates that Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul leads his GOP opponents against Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton among likely voters ages 30-49. He is the leading White House contender for the key demographic, polling higher than Clinton among baby boomers. Congressman Paul polls in at 47%, compared with Clinton's 44%, among likely voters aged 40-49.

The 30-49 demographic has been a key indicator in recent elections, and one in which Republicans tend to fare well in hotly-contested elections. In 2004, exit polls reveal that George Bush beat John Kerry 53% to 46% among 30-44 year olds, and all accounts indicate that this will be the most instrumental demographic in the 2008 presidential election as well.
