I bought 2k of scratch tickets last night.

the guy at the store looked at me and said "you take my whole inventory!" It wasnt his entire inventory but I have them on my desk.

I don't know why but that made me laugh. (in a good way)

"YOU GIVE ME MONEY. I GO AND GAMBLE WITH IT!"

    Really, that is priceless!

    Interesting concept.

I certainly can see the marketing potential here.

This is a great idea. You have to make sure you get the media in on it. Then you will be on all the major sites. One Associated Press or Reuters write up and you'll be on literally thousands of sites with live links to your site. This could be like another milliondollarhomepage. Matter of fact you can do it just like them. Make a big scratch ticket on the site and let companies pay to put there banner on there (just like milliondollarhomepage). Every day from let's say 9PM - 10PM you can have a live feed of you scratching off your tickets and of course keep an archive of old videos. Get sponsors to pay to have their link in your archive videos. This has tons of monetization potential and several possible revenue streams. Who's to say this has to end after you're out of tickets? With the money coming in from advertisers you can keep buying more and more tickets and of course keeping some of the money for your pocket. Then just kill the project off as interest wanes (if it ever does). Have a domain like watchmegetrich.com or something.

Just made me wonder... What do you think the minimum invest price for this to be "interesting" would be? 10,000 15,000 or would it have to be 25,000 to draw attention? Anyone run a cost/benefit analysis?

I think it could be done for much less. You're playing on people's emotions with this site. Who's to say you can't pull this off for $5000...maybe even $1000? One of the biggest costs I see is site development and initial press releases. People want to see someone getting rich the easy and lazy way. You'll probably have tons of copycat sites if this catches on and you can sell the script to the copy cat sites so there's another revenue stream. Look at this like the next milliondollarhomepage.

I think that this is a brilliant idea. especially with the million dollar homepage concept thrown in and some youtube marketing and sponsorship.

Wish I had the funds/the balls to go for it
