40$ logo design contest for music/culture site! quick turn around

I'm offering 40$ for a quick (1 or 2 day? if enough options are available) contest to design a header image to replace the top portion of my web design at http://stage.dubstep.com ..

I'm looking for a nice logo or header image that has the site name and possibly the slogan if it's fits into the design.. I probably want a darker image or white background.. I prefer web 2.0 style over sketching.. Since you are the talented ones i'll trust your judgment on what you think will work..

dubstep is a electronic music genre popular both overseas and growing stateside.. geared more towards dj culture there may be an opportunity to incorporate this..

I am not 100% on the colors of the site currently.. while I like the blues and the black background I may find myself wanting to replace the gray with something more colorful.. if you have any suggestions on this it would be very much appreciated..

so there's the basic details.. I hope to have a psd format of the graphic for the winning design if at all possible.. preferably still in layers..

my target for picking a winner is 24-48 hours.. basically when enough options come up that a decent winner can be chosen..

tad hard to read.. I guess it would make more sense to start with just a logo and work from there.. I was hoping for something a little cleaner font wise. i'll look through some other logo contests on here and post to give you some ideas..

as for logo ideas.. I know its a bit unconventional for me to post my own mockups and 'entries' but this is something that just jumped in my head that I thought might give you guys some good ideas.. if you could throw on the professional edge to this concept that would be excellent..



the font is just something that i picked quickly.. i like the stencil idea but its a common font.. though it does represent the sound a bit.. and the positioning of the double stacked 'dub' and 'step' was another quick mockup.. please feel free to add your own interpretations of this..


I'm a tad nervous about a good logo that fits with the site because the site has a clean css template and the logo seems like it needs to be a bit more ruff and edgy.. so thats where you guys come in!
