Buying Targeted Traffic

There are a lot of companies online, who offer you targeted amount of traffic for a quite small.

Let's say 50000 unique hits for about 100$. That sounds crazy. Even if few hundred of those people convert, you are going to make a huge profit.

You can buy this traffic and target them to your Clickbank affiliate link

    Example:

You bought 50000 traffic for 100$
The commission your earn from a sale of a product = 20$
100 people out of 50000 bought the product = 100x20=2000$

    2000-100=1900$ YOUR PROFIT

Is that real or I am just dreaming?

These companies don't have traffic themselves. Most of them use hits robots which just provide your site with fake hits. Other just pay their members to visit your site therefore when people come to your site they just visit it to earn money and never buy a thing. Beware of such companies.

Interesting. Slightly OT I know, but what about mobs like Traffic Holder who have genuine traffic that can be purchased and routed towards another adult site?

Would something like this work? I mean buying traffic and sending it to an adult site tagged with an affiliate ID? Would this convert?

    Again, sorry for the OT.

BTW, if anyone wants to reply to my question via PM, then that's fine.

Lets keep bl4ckmaN^'s thread from going OT :)

For testing purposes, if you remove the adsense code form your site, can you safely use traffic exchange?

I am sorry to bust your bubble but you are dreaming. These are fake hits generated from robots. If you want to increase your Alexa ranking then fine go for it. Other wise it is just a waste of money.

Adult traffic is mostly people looking for free porn. You would see very few to no conversions with any sort of adult traffic. You see with sites with megarotic and other porn streaming websites movies are basically free. Other than that you can try adult friend finder but still the conversions would be bad.

Of course, there are some companies that are using robots to provide hits, but do you think that a well-known,serious company will do that?

Take this example of a good company - http://www.i-web-marketing.com/

It's number one site, when you search for "buy targeted traffic" on Google

I was looking high and low for a good company like that but still couldn't find one. If you know of one that send real traffic please let me know.

Most are junk. If only 5 converted out of the 50,000 visitors. When you spend $100 and each product gives you an average of $20 commission then you would be covering the cost. I don't think that it gets that easy.

    5 sales is .01%

Lets say that amount of people convert and you make money its just an indicator that its pure junk since there is such a low conversion rate.

    I tried that method..

Most of them I made no sales. On a select few I made 1 sale per campaign, but didn't make profit. Every one was a loss.

It may be possible to make profit, but for the testing and money wasted in trying, the chance is too small.

.01% is a good number for this kind of traffic. Most the times, you make no sales in 10,000 hits

I know with my site we can target traffic for cheap but the way it is done is to incentive it for the members so you will see a lower converting ratio. It still seems to make a profit for advertisers tho we have a lot of repeat customers

Incentized Human traffic is way better. I have heard of people losing a lot of money to robot traffic and unknowingly bought it.

Most people/companies just see a huge demand for traffic and see it as an opportunity to fulfill their claims but rarely will they prove profitable. Some companies offer legit traffic however you must ask yourself - If these guys are so smart at aggregating and assigning quality uniques to their vendor of choice - chances are a) They should be/would be monetizing this on their own with amazing aff programs/payouts b) Would charge a LOT more for their services c) Would be booked until next year if it proved very profitable.
