your screwed. Now you owe $79 because of this scammer.

I suggest next time to send information about the service to their paypal email, if they respond and then claim an 'unauthorized funds' claim, you can call the cops on that person (because its not unathorized, and no better then stealing from a store). (i believe)

Same thing happened to me from the same member. BUT I talked with him and he will be handling the situation, I don't want to go into detail about why several charge backs were issued, but he said he will handle it and give back my money. So just send that user a PM telling him that you just found a charge back for that money and if he could fix the situation.

Happened to me before (same letter), they wont return the money, its your loss now. It sucks, because if someone is using paypal you would thing they have done their jobs and secured the payments. But sometimes these things happen

Taking legal actions against PayPal are not what you need to do. They aren't the cause to you losing money. Taking some sort of action against the "scammer" sound more likely.

It sucks i know, my story was, i participated in a contest here on DP, it was for a site design, the prize was big like $250, i didn't win the contest, but he offered me a $5 2nd place price along with a few others. Then comes the magic letter. I'm not sure if the guy kept the winning design or gave it back, but i do know the winner lost his money along with my $5 prize and others as well. I tried contacting the member, but he never replied. Paypal would not do anything. Luckily the money i lost wasn't much and it didn't cost me anything. But it just sucks, that paypal lets these things happen, and does nothing to rectify it.

Your only hope is the member steps up and pays you. I doubt that will happen. You need to do you research before dealing with anyone. If you look at his post, it is all stuff related to VCC and buying U.S Bank Accounts. This is normally a good sign that they are a scammer. He was also brand new with only 9 posts.

I am sorry you got scammed but it is not paypal or DP's fault, it is your own for not dealing with someone who has a good reputation and has been around a while. You just bought yourself a $80 life lesson.

Be a waste of time and money to sue paypal.

Your best bet is to re-initiate a dispute with the buyer in paypal.
Explain what they bought, you delivered, etc.

Worst case in doing this, you still lose.
But clearing the air as it were just might make paypal reverse and give you the money back.

Yes, good advice by someone here!
In amounts of $25 or more, I alway send an email to the person using their paypal address.
If it bounces, or no reply, I don't deliver.
Most times, you will get a nice reply back and you know it is okay to deal with them.
