Hey, I need some quality advice. I have a campaign and 2 ad groups. while one adgroup is doing well, another ad group has problems with quality score. and no matter how well targeted i make the landing page, it still dosent help. I've added the keywords suggested by google ( and they were completely targeted to what keywords i wanted to pick) and still i get an OK quality score. I have ZERO impressions for my ad while the other adgroup where im sending traffic to the general Home page of my site, has a great score. I need some expert help here please. Regards, Venkata Ramana
Hi, The clicks started coming now, i'm deliberately, bidding on general keywords to maintain high CTR. So, but i'm paying almost double the money i should be paying for a click how to get the costs down at this point? Help needed.. Hope you can give a good advice. venkat
Hi, No, These are 2 different ad groups. and therefore differnet keywords. But they, belong to different groups in the same group. like, blue widgets, and brown widgets venkat
The average CPC will come down over time. As you notice this, reduce your max CPC slightly. You should maintain your ad's average position in relation to each keyword.
I have a wee campaign running at the moment. Over the last hour I have been able to observe Av CPC for some keywords coming down slowly. As a result, I can reduce max CPC slightly and the ad's average position (relative to the keyword) has remained pretty much the same.
Hi, Thankyou for your advice.. I've just reduced the CPC for the adgroup that is running successfully by 2 cents, and it still is on the 1st page and not much change really. i hope my second adgroup takes off... Regards, Venkat
See... for keywords that people dont search the min CPC goes up over time... as CTR is low.. for General keywords the quality of traffic may be bad or junk.. so the key thing is to keep monitoring the quality of leads and traffic and bid amount to maximize your return...
Some really great advice here, thanks in particular to tsc, have applied a small reduction in minimum $0.?? to my own Campaign so very much appreciated. I have had a certain Campaign running for a couple of months quite successfully when all of a sudden I had a reviewer say it was of poor quality and upped my minimum PPC to $5 & $10 respectively for EVERY keyword! obviously I had to cancel this particular Campaign and now have next to no marketing options for this site, can anyone suggest or even PM me with some advice that could help?
There's your first mistake. Bidding on general keywords like tossing your money down the toilet. Bid on specific keywords related to your offer and you'll be far better off.
rammanaa Maintain high CTR with attractive ads not general keywords, because they are going to bring you a lot not converting traffic, as a result waste of money and time. Attractive ads+specific keywords+good landing page=$
Hi, Thankyou for your advice. But i'm in a state of confusion here again. Coz what i'm promoting is not a product, I'm promoting a service which does not have specific search terms. and the whole niche revolves around a general keyword. I've done my research for it. I'm now im over spending. but i'm still making sale. What i'm looking for is traffic in high volume and then lesser cost per click, which is helping me convert. Cheers, Rammanaa
agreed this is the best piece of advice in this thread stay away from general keywords as this usually represents people in the earlier stage of the buying cycle and are not usually prepared to make a purchase yet
