I was actually originally planning a quarterly review, then I thought maybe a mid year review would be better, but then I missed that so I shall aim for a yearly review - I definitely have learned a lot in the last 8 months that I'm keen to share with the world.

 

Burta, you recommend in your very post about picking up adsense book. Could you tell me which adsense book you recommend?

I just started a site 3 months and this is my first time ever monetizing a site. I started seeing some small earnings with adsense and it feels great. I want to diversify my knowledge in adsense.

 

Can't wait to see that happen.

Joel Comm's the AdSense Code is cheap on amazon and was a reasonably good read. I picked up 2 or 3 tips and techniques I'd never read anywhere before that paid for the cost of the book off in mere hours. Honestly what I do these days is when anyone recommends a book that is a great read on a blog or in the forums I go to amazon search for it read the reviews and if they are generally pretty positive I add it to a "Books to Buy" folder in my bookmarks and then I just make a bulk order from amazon every couple of months.

Seriously if you want to get ahead in this game you really need to be willing to build your understanding of a range of marketing and monetising techniques and reading the good quality books out there on these topics will get you 80% of the way there. The rest of the formula is hard work.

LOL - one of things I have learnt in the 8 months since I started this post is that revealing exact figures isn't always prudent. More importantly I think next time around I'll make sure that my "release" of my figures will be done in a setting where I stand to benefit from the information release - like on a personal blog. I mean if you look at this thread it has over 45,000 reads. Can you imagine if I had released this sort of thread on my own personal blog and 1 in 45 of the people that read this turned into subscribers. I'd have 1,000 people reading my blog posts everyday - see that is gaining personal value in exchange for the information.

Good Info I am going to Go look for some of those Adsense books/guides that you speak of and try to increase my daily earnings.. Im at about $10 to $15 a week right now and looking to grow that a bit..

Also, I still don't get why you won't post any URL's of any of your successful sites. You haven't given any logical reasons, other than "it wouldn't do anybody any good here" which sounds auspicious as though you have something to hide. What harm is there in posting your URL's?
