I recently changed our UK logo design website layout and expected to get a better retention of viewer. The opposite though has happened and my bounce rate is hovering around a disapointing 60%. I was hoping for around 30% or better. Can anyone see any obvious reasons why people are just turning away. http://www.logoquality.com Thanks. And you can be as brutal as you like. Simon
Where is your traffic coming from? If its US traffic and they see foreign currency symbols everywhere, they would probably bounce.
great design man. I think that you would receive more clients if let the users choose between international currencies (euro, dollar and pound).
When I did a test of loading times today the site was loading in a second or two. I also tested this on a website that tests loading times. How have you measured the loading time? What do you mean by slow? It would be far more valuable a critique if you had some figures to throw at me and others could also substantiate the figures. Thanks for the comment anyway. Simon
At the moment I am only targeting UK customers. I may well add other countries later on. Thanks for the positive comments. Simon
Nice site and Logo's The problem I see with your site is with your site is the layout and color, it is distracting my eyes away from seeing what you site is about. My eyes are taken from the pink line at the top of the site over to the colored boxes on the right, then to the example logo's, completely missing your intro paragraph. You might try putting your content on the right and the colored boxes on the left or under your intro box. And you might try changing the grey graidiant to the pinkish color to draw the eyes to it.
Hi! I read somewhere about what is first place visitors look at. I think main offer should be at left corner. Becouse when I open page I move my sight from left quickly to the right 3 color block
Your logo designs are good the site layout is ok but it seems very cluttered with text. I understand the SEO factor to all the texts but you might want to try and cut down on some of the text
When I compare the amount of text that I have with that of my competitors it is barely different. Would this amount of text make you just leave or would you be intrigued to see more logos or read more about the deals? Simon
What did you find hard on the eyes? Is it that there is too much text for you and it put you off or is it because of something else? Simon
Hi, simon Here are a couple of links for where people look at at on web pages. http://www.useit.com/alertbox/reading_pattern.html http://poynterextra.org/eyetrack2004/main.htm I think the amount of text on your site is fine, but the colored box are taking my eye's away from the text. and you might move your second paragraph up above your sample logo's, i was playing around in photo shop with a pic of your site, and moving the text up made a big difference on how it looked. (its pooring rain out and I was bored)
Loading speed is ok for me... but it will sure help if you rearrange a tat here and there... it is rather difficult for my eyes when there are so many unorganise images... ever considered resizing the logos to be like the same size? You might wanna try that SGFB
I have to agree... Too much text and not enough actually jumps out at me. You could try moving this image (xhttp://www.logoquality.com/images/LogoQuality-Box.gif) to the top left. Don't forget though that if you make changes and your bounce rate doesn't change it's not necessarily a bad thing - they could be different types of people that are bouncing. Turn away the freeloaders and keep the quality. The current design would be turning away both IMO.
Some great advice there. Based on what I have had feedback wise I have made some changes. I will monitor these over the next couple of weeks and see if we can make a difference to this bad bounce rate. Simon
I have to agree with most of the posters here, too much to look at... its an amazing looking site but with all the colors I am not sure where to look at and that is probably why people are leaving. As far as load times go, the page loaded very fast for me... especially if you have it hosted in the uk (as i am in canada)
