According to what he said in the early 90s, he does NOT have a high regard for the intelligence of black males. Like I keep telling guerilla, ron paul hasn't even earned the right to be scrutinized by the media yet. Not that he will, but if he were to rise in the polls, or start doing something more than 5%, the media will pounce on him like they did Huckabee and pretty much any other candidate. Ron Paul is too weak. He doesn't even address much of what comes his way, anyway, choosing to let his supporters come up with "conspiracy" theories to fight his battles for him.

Huckabee has survived a huge round of scrutiny and dishonesty leveled towards him and IS STILL leading (although I haven't checked the polls today). Pollicies? What do you think all they 'welfare state" talk is about? Not only did he talk about THAT in the newsletter, but is campaigning on this again. To take away "entitlements, welfare, handouts, etc" Think about that for a minute. Just look at what is written and then look at his platform on getting rid of "the welfare state" and tell me you don't see it? This is in addition to him actually defending his comments, as well as his campaign manager defending those comments as acceptable. They are not blaming it on a ghostwriter, they are defending them and giving (what he feels is a valid) reason why.
I said Reagan philosophically. He was a Republican for almost 20 years before he became President. And if you read his memoirs, you can see some of his regrets. No one says Reagan was a great President for what he did in office, they say he was a great man for what he stood for.
