I am looking for your views, opinions, queries - anything, to do with what Google will do in 2008. Are you expecting a massive change, or just the usual, small, yet effective, changes in the way Googles services run (SE, Adwords/Adsense, WMT, Froogle etc). So, let's hear it...what will Google do in 2008? Thanks
They will lose their market in advertising to Microsoft, just some 5 - 8% . Their Mobile OS Android will face stiff competition from Iphone when it is opened for developers. Myspace will get out of Open social and build their own API. People will starting searching more for information from their profile pages in social networking sites, hence google will lose some market. Hope they are true.
Google will buy out Microsoft. Google will make a phone. Google will release their OS. Google will become more superier.
Google in 2008 Google will release its BBOS, (Browser Based Operating System.) With sub 10 second boot times. No need for Mac or Windows to load up, Just a browser. All applications will be online such as Control Panel, Mail, Talk, word processing, spreadsheets, Appointments, Docs, calenders, Page Creator, Gaming, Maps, Media, Real Time file sharing, third party apps... etc.. Storage will be either on and/or off line. There will be a Free and Premier Edition and It will grow to become the biggest revolution since the hula hoop, and withstand the pressures that Microsoft's financial burden puts on the Stock market. And Google will be King! As for 2009.. well thats another story Cheers James
Very imaginative idea you've got there. Although I wouldn't be one paying for the google web browser operating system, I'll trade in my old iphone for a second hand copy
Thanks.. I was going to go on to 2009 where Microsoft makes a comeback with the biggest revolution since the Pogo stick. But sometimes my imagination runs away on me, so I thought I had better stop there. Cheers James
Well, if you ain't got much else to do, I'd love to hear that story some day. You better make it quick though, because we've only got 366 days til that becomes a reality!
I don't think so. Search information from profile pages? That will be very ridiculous. What do you provide in your profile pages? Your school, your job, your hobbies? And who will read that? About Google, I think they will give more ads for their SERPs. I see there are plenty of sponsored links above natural SERPs these days and it will be lotter next year, no doubt about it. Don't forget google store. If you are searching for commercial keywords, you can easily find "Google checkouts" there. So don't hope for more traffic from Google (if you are targeting high competitive keywords) because I think Google gives more and more space to their advertisers.
They won't lost their market in advertising to Microsoft - because they'll continue to get bigger. Remember, microsoft is now using youtube to promote their services.
