Oh, sorry. I hadn't seen it posted here. I enjoyed watching it this morning and reflecting on the contrasts between then and now.
Huckabee is a socialist, Reagan was a libertarian. Huckabee can try to latch onto Reagan's legacy all he wants, but it's BS. Huckabee doesn't endorse anything Reagan stood for philosophically.
Its hard to vote for a guy who after killing of Benazir Bhutto complained about illegal immigrants from Pakistan instead of targeting Al-Qeada.
The democrats should choose the charismatic John Edwards. He seems a nice enough fellow. The only problem is they all get corrupt with power after getting into office. But he seems OK.
Political Analyst Matt Towery on why Ronald Reagan would vote for Ron Paul http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272617901.shtml http://youtube.com/watch?v=sFg488AkmaE .
He seams like the biggest hypocrite of them all, he bashes Hedge Funds yet invests and works for one, he takes about the need for Americans to get rid of their SUV but in his garage all he has is SUV's and minivans. He talks about two Americas one for the rich and one for the poor and then he gets a $400 haircut, how many poor get $400 haircuts. He just seams fake to me.
Huckabee is a RINO. I deplore anyone who thinks otherwise. I lived in North Little Rock during his reign of taxes and failed road improvement attempts - the roads did not get better until he was out of office. I also remember the historic building that was torn down so Bill could have his Giant Trailer Museum. Oh, and I remember how his (Huckabumblebee Tuna's) wife talked about her "Temporary Pre-manufactured home" as if it was not a trailer when the Governors mansion underwent some work. I had forgotten a lot of this stuff since it was a while ago, but after having a reunion back home in Arkansas I remembered a lot more.
Huckabee is a Conservative. Ron Paul is a Nazi. Reagan was a great leader of which Ron Paul has nothing in common with. Just another push by the RP nuts to compare Paul to Reagan (an ongoing effort). The truth is, in 30 years, Paul has no accomplishments and had he actually achieved anything other than a few interviews on alex jones radio show to pander to 9/11 troofers, he and his supporters wouldn't need to hang onto the coattails of a great man. Ron Paul has no accomplishments, so he has no choice but to try an align with someone who does.
Ron Paul is not a Nazi. He wants a weaker central government and strong regional and self government. Nazis are for strong central government, like what Huckabee and his CFR advisers support. They want to tax you, they want you to look to them for every solution, in a dependent fashion, and they believe that war is peace. No one in their right mind would call Huckabee a conservative. He's a tax and spend liberal, and a social philistine.
Paul is the epitome of a Nazi, and has a lot of support from like minded individuals. Afterall, the man once said that blacks couldn't make informed political decisions. Huckabee is a strong conservative. Unlike Ron Paul, Huckabee actually has a record of accomplishments and has been in a position of leadership. He's made the tough decisions, been tasked with major responsibility, improved education, lowered taxes, improved roads, brought in new business and actually did his job as Governor. Ron Paul has spent thirty years doing nothing. Taking the easy way out and voting "no" to everything, so someday he would be held accountable. Try again, G. You're a lot weaker on your candidate than you think you are
That would be racist, not Nazi. You don't even know what a Nazi is for someone who tosses the term around so casually. Tax and spend is not liberal. Pro-NEA is not conservative. CFR is not conservative. Releasing rapists to rape again is not conservative. Trying to steal the furniture from the Governor's mansion is not conservative. Multiple citings on ethics is not conservative. Huckabee is a Christian. But he's not a conservative. By this time next week, you'll be singing a different story.
Isn't it the term that people like you tossed around loosely towards Bush? Heh! Lying over and over again, is liberal. Repeating lies that have been corrected, IS liberal. Supporting a non-republican candidate who has liberal values, residing under the Republican party because he couldn't get nominated as a libertarian, is liberal. Tearing one's country down every day, is liberal. Blaming one's country every day for the world's problems, is liberal. He is both. A Christian conservative, which is what scares ron paul supporters more than anything By this time next week, I'll be releasing a ron paul conspiracy site and suckering money out of young angry white males with low IQs who aren't smart enough to think for themselves, and laughing that I beat alex jones to it! Money, money, money, money! Money!
Bush and supporters like you are super-nationalists (not be confused with patriots). A Super Nationalist is a NAZI. My candidate is more Republican than yours. When your candidate was learning how to be a televangelist, my candidate was endorsing Ronald Reagan for President. If my candidate's values are liberal, then you are saying that Reagan was a liberal. That Goldwater and Taft were liberals. It's ludicrous! Name 3 things conservative about Huckabee. You will have to. Because after we shock the world in Iowa, we're going to shock the world in New Hampshire. Well isn't that why Huck set up that registry so he could collect gifts from his constituents? The good news is, Ron Paul supports your attempt at capitalism. Huckabee would like to tax you 30% for it.
"Taking the easy way out and voting "no" to everything, so someday he would be held accountable." because voting yes would be the hard way out? gtech your argument is so ridiculous and has no validity to it, i used to respect your point of view but you are just a clown. "ron paul is a nazi", you couldn't name one similarity. do you even know what a nazi is? are you familiar with the Constitution? these are just the same old red team vs. blue team irrational arguments we hear everyday that drive down the lower vote turnout. that's ok though because it only helps our cause. have fun getting lost in the dust gtech!
Almost forgot, were that the case, you'd be voting for Huckabee. After all, you've had nothing but the kindest of things to say about Hugo Chavez. I guess ron paul won't be picking up the black votes in Iowa though. After all, he's eluded to the notion that they aren't intelligent enough to make good political decisions. Perhaps White Will will make sure of the same, for him, in Tennessee
