Lawrence Lepard is the source. We are still awaiting word from the paper on why it was done and how they will try to rectify the problem, but the damage has been done. This was the optimal Sunday before the caucus for circulation.

To be clear. The first ad Mr. Lepard ran in the New York Times cost him $85,000. That ad did run a while back.

He created a new ad describing why he placed the $85K in the NYT. The new ad was the one commissioned for the NH paper (don't know how much it cost, but payment was sent).

Both ads were full page ads. It's not like these are easy to "forget".

Well, again, let's hear the full story before jumping to conclusions...

One sided views usually are, open and shut...

As someone that does a tremendous amount of print advertising, I can tell you first hand that there have been several times and reasons for an ad not running, even after payment has been made... Each time, a correction was made, the ad either ran, or we got our money back...

Let's hear the full story for once, shall we?

Yes, it is all a conspiracy against poor Ron Paul.. If only he had bigger ears like Ross Perot...

What on earth do you care? Why should you care?

I agree, we need for Lawrence to give a more detailed update, which is not going to happen on a Sunday before New Year's Eve. If anything, we'll just get an ad closer to the primaries, which sounds fine to me. Lepard is also the guy who paid over $100,000 to run an ad during Thanksgiving in USA Today. Sure does have a lot of money to burn, and he's also supported and been involved with other major RP projects. Great guy to have on our side.

Because the leader of your country has a major influence over what my Prime Minister does.

Our PM always kisses the ass of your President, it would be great if our PM agreed to Ron Paul instead of the utter scumbags you have had running your country for the last 30 years.

    Break the corrupt Bush/Clinton dynasty!!!

beautiful, beautiful blowback. The efforts of the grassroots have gotten Paul that nice little segment in Nebraska, and I am sure, by tomorrow, in other markets.

While everyone is falling over McCain's supposed resurgence because Benazir Bhutto was assassinated, this is a great opportunity to sweep in as the second new story of the holidays, trumping Rudy, Thompson, Romney and Huckabee.

Even if someone doesn't like or support Ron Paul, a lot can be learned from the ability of an organized grassroots to create debate and coverage.

Displaying ignorance seems to be the general theme of the Ron Paul threads...

    Here are the facts...

It was the New Hampshire Republican Party sponsoring the "forum" who excluded Ron Paul NOT the there Fox News. Giuliani, McCain, Huckabee, Thompson and Romney were the only candidates asked to participate. As usual, the blame is misplaced, it should be directed to the New Hampshire Republican party. Attacking that there Fox News doing nothing to further the Ron Paul movement or support.... All it does is make you guys look like the loons that everyone seems to think you are.

When Ron Paul supporters mislead, it makes me wonder if that is Ron Paul's message as well... Try and tell the truth in the future and you might find others respecting your cause. At the moment, it is posts like threads like this that really destroy any message Paul is trying to get across...

Jeremy, why are you once again offering an opinion without a base in fact?

The NH GOP Chair Fergus Cullen fought to get RP on the forum, and FOX made the ultimate decision to keep him off.

If you don't know the circumstances or characters involved, it's very hypocritical of you to accuse others of misleading.

Speaking of free speech. It would appear the RP Forums have removed any threads that state the truth:

    #1 - FIFY

#2 - RPF.com never stated the forum existed to provide members with unfettered free speech. There is a TOS agreement for registration there just like there is here on DP and most forums.

#3 - Congrats on reading the ron paul forums.

You're obviously not aware of private property rights.

It was pulled because it was erroneous information.

Again, you're trying to speak intelligently, and perhaps a little arrogantly about a subject you have no background on.

I think it's probably the other way round mate.

Ronny laughs his ass off at how stupid my PM is supporting every misguided decision that the USA makes.

We are used to mia's false info here. The ron paul forum looks like they wont stand for much bs, which is good because the most important thing for our country is that hes elected.
