A professional logo looks professional hehe. It's that simple. All you have to do is ask yourself "What looks professional and what doesn't?". Try asking yourself what doesn't look professional. Look over the net and try to rate the logo that you see, notice what you like at some of them and what you dislike and then you'll know what's a professional logo and what isn't one. It's not possible to tell you something like " A professional logo looks this way and only this way". Logos need to be interesting and they need to catch the eyes of people. Something that catches the eye isn't something usual, it's something new, unknown. Got it? UNKNOWN ;)

I hope this helps you a bit, and doesn't confuse you hehe.

Don't wanna offend, but i got to say...
you're charging 10 cents for these types of posts?!! :p

Coming to the topic, a professionally made logo is one which can proudly be implemented in a business' marketing and branding efforts without the company feeling too embarrassed about it. :)

Secondly, it is also one which looks good on all media, be it print, web or tv, is scalable to all sizes, and can be effectively used in both color and monochromatic environments.

    Professional

-looks good and must have all parts of element of designing
-all logos must fit with all type of colors and must looks good in black and white
-maybe have their own font..for that logo..such as Walt Disney:)

    Non Professional
    -bad choice of colors
-not related with the logo concept
-not really good on choosing the typography

Not Neccessarily Dude, I would disagree on the First 2 Points on the Non-Professional Ones. Why? Reasons Below

    - Colours may be any, as long as the design is Sleek and Edgy
    - Concept doesnot really matters to Professional, e.g. Cigarette Company Logos and Hotel Logos. You can see that mostly these kind of logos have nothing to do with the actual product or organisation. But they are still termed professional.

But otherwise it may be suitable.

    Just my Research.
