I wont mind to mention about my directory www.qoobe.org. PR4, and you check other info yourself, its also listed in aviva's strongest directories
wounded1987, may i ask what your referring to with regards to high return? Are you intent on spending on the higher priced directories or looking for budget listings too? would a $1.50 permanent sound less powerful to you? Are you seeking high pr homepage, categories page? traffic? permanent? or yearly? With deeplinks? featured, regular, sitewide? a fancy template in place? age inportant? Are you looking for directories that are in a good position currently? or could be further down the line? Do you desire instant results and changes from your investment or investing for the months ahead?
better peramant then yearly, PR is not a concern, i do want that the directory status wont be banned by google, with a lot of quality back links from important high PR websites as well. So said, you get what u paid for, i want something as high as DirJournal, but DirJournal internal pages are banned by Google, so i want old enough directory that was organically made, i.e even Aviva got a PR4 with such a lot of effort to make it a good directory. Deep links are not a big concern right now, as said $50 price /year will be a good figure to pay for quality directory. I would submit to Yahoo but it's expensive. Good directory always has a good looking as well, so that may say a lot about the Dir.
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=625724 I have a 50% reduction on permanent submissions to my paid directory. Total bargain at only $9.95
I dont know of any directory banned by google, but im guessing you mean penalised. You said that pr is not a concern, but you want the directories that you submit to, to have a lot of quality backlinks from important high pr websites as well. Organic links, are they links that a site gets naturally? where people link to the site if the content is good enough? I wont bother offering my Regular permanent at $1.50, i see your out to spend big, not sure why, but good luck.

Thank you, will look into it. ->> You get what you pay for, what's your directory URL (u can PM me) Spend big, spend small, it all depends what u get in return. I think that directories that are promoted heavely wont have their PR back from Google because google don't care, this market is over saturated. Just as much as you care you will have a good quality directory with a lot of back links and high PR, Google cares they will have Quality SE and no paid link backs. so how can 1 directory get 100k back links in over a period of half year, you tell me. if this website/directory was so known then yea, it will have the boom effect, but we all know that the budget is limited and all you do guys is buy link backs. Thank you very much, will look into. Plus, i think i have a good resources you gave me, so i think we can close this thread.
Getting what you pay for is true in the majority of cases, i very much agree with that, but from time to time, you can get a genuine deal that isn't costing an arm and a leg and theres no strings attached. One of my directories is pulsedirectory.com Some people get very good results and barely spend anything, it can take them longer, from how search engines react anyway, it seems a safe way to go about things, not getting backlinks alarmingly fast. I wouldn't worry about the pr thing at all, i had a blog completely stripped of pr and its nothing related to directories, seo, the webmaster world or anything like that. The directory market isn't over saturated, thats mythical, the old saturation story is used for a webmaster to excuse themselves why their not succeeding as expected, any forum i visit for any interest that i have i always read the same message, theres business aplenty for everyone, it just depends how you go about it, by that i dont have any magic formula though, im still searching myself. I dont concern myself with pr but i do with backlinks, because that is what they told us was important, that their like a vote for our site.
Pipes, you have a great directory there, however not what i am looking for. I did liked the directory you were linking at on the footer.. the .IN one, very much promoted and old, also have a good PR, alexa and 100k of back links, also it's price is very good. Robert
pipes, nice directory. I couldn't resist. Submitted jimfeeney.org. I appreciate the directories (like yours) that offer deep links at a modest price.
You can check my big directory list, I have more than 130 000 listing website! and over than 6500 categorie www.traffichype.com ! check on it its very cheap!
Not sure how others feel about this... but I had the mental concept that if a link directory is #1 (non paid) on google search, then they must be good. So I typed in "link directory" and #1 was linkdirectory dot com. So I paid them $50 for two websites for their best services. Good deal?
You said "non paid" and then paid $50 for listing 2 websites? And what you are saying is about the general directory keywords, which is not of that importance i feel. If someone searches for some particular keyword and reaches some inner pages of directory(may be some website link detail page) through search engines, that would be some good work. Getting to top for those keywords won't be that hard, just get some backlinks with that keyword as anchor text, and you are in top of SERPs.
What I meant by "non paid" was they didn't use google adwords (PPC) to get #1 search positioned on google. This is my first time paying for a link directory. I wanted to pay a couple to see if they turn better results as free ones. Needless to say, I've chatted with the owner of linkdirectory dot com and he was very nice and helpful. He also approved my sites in less than 5 minutes. I don't mind paying for services if they are willing to help me.
