What do we think? In what sense? Its a good program but its only supplemental income for me. Its pennies compared with what can be earned with other methods.
It is "a" source of advertising income for publishers. I think that too many people put all their eggs in the Adsense bucket and then become too dependent on it. I know this because of all the panic threads about people being banned from them. There are many ways to make money from advertising. I think that Google is popular as a first step and it is so easy to get started with them.
Adsense makes sense when you have huge traffic...If you reach the $100 mark only every couple of months then it is not worth the effort.
Why not? If adsense pays the monthly fees for your hosting it's not much but it worth. Just my 2 cents Anyway, IMO, today adsense is not better or worse than before. If you have a low traffic website, you will get dimes, if you have a medium site, you can gain some extra bucks, but I would not quit the daily job and if you have a very high traffic site, you can make more money selling ad space directly.
Adsense is a good way to start advertising on a site. I use Adsense until I feel confident enough to start offering affiliate products to my visitors. Its also a good way to figure out hot spots on the page as far as ad placement goes.
