Has anyone tried hard work and creativity yet? One could send thousands of visitors to their site every single day by hand if they were willing to work hard, for free. 80 hours each week promoting, exposing, and advertising = thousands of visitors everyday. Example: I and many others could send 100 unique visitors to this post in less than 2 hours by hand. Sometimes less than an hour. People I don't know. Without the use of a forum. I guess it depends on how bad you need and want it...yea. Creativity is a major part of it. Stepping outside of the box. Just a thought for some of the people asking how they can get more traffic. Do it by hand. If you want it bad enough, you'll send thousands of visitors to your site everyday by hand. 80 hours a week promoting and advertising by hand is a lot of hard work...but it is a lot of visitors too. Visitors that you aren't paying for. I have one method of making sales that is pretty clever. Really steps outside of the box. I won't give it away though. Not for free.
Preach it, brother. ... Preach it. But too many won't work for it. They want quick tips on a silver platter. Then they wonder why they can't get visitors. Work! Read! Study! So, what's this method. ha

LOL @ the responses. But the guy is right. Lots of us are whiney little punks when it comes to hard work. I am guilty of it myself from time to time. There is no real substitute for good old fashioned hard work. +REP my friend. And if I didn't have so much money tied up in PPC I'd buy your little method.
It is a creative sales method. I guess it could be called an idea too. If it is worth more than $20, than the content of my original post here is worth $100 and I should of sold it instead of posting it free. Review copy? What do you mean? Tell you how to do it, then if you like it you will purchase? lol. A car salesman does a few things: - Sneak up on you - give you all the car specs - give you a discount, just because it's you - take your for a spin - give you more discount, just because it's you ... - no more discount or he will get fired ... - a last discount! - make you sign the contract and upsell you some dirt proof carpets. And that is it, the car is yours... Which one applies to your technique?
The car salesman -------------------- I, with the help of a friend, made a program to automatically add people who are on or offline from aimpages.com. Or just add everyone. You select your age group and location, then extract the screen names and add them to a list for adding to your buddylist. You make 2 screen names and add 800 people to each. If your product is porn, then add all males. If your product is perfume or bathing suits, add all girls. Now you have 1600 people you can speak with directly. To make it short: You get to know them for 2-3 days, compliment their profiles, and send them real pictures of yourself. You can even get on web cam with a few hundred. If you're a smooth car salesman then you'll be selling ladies perfume to your new friends. Not your customers - friends. If not, you'll be looking like a spam bot, be warned, and blocked. Or you can target specific people. It is better than a social networking site because AIM is direct communication. No email. Faster and more effective. You can begin a friendship with over 100 people at the same time in LESS than 1 or 2 hours. YOU become an Internet Salesman instead of the site being the salesman. No ads, no spam. You can bring up the product in conversation. You can let them know YOU are selling it, or keep it hidden and just recommend the website you are selling from as "the best" with the best customer service and cheapest prices. Add a new 1600 people every 30 days, but keep the screen names. The best part is, now you have people who bought from you that you can communicate with directly as a friend. When you sell through a website, you can't...or don't usually instant message that person the next day and asked if they liked it or how their day has been. This is a big benefit for making more sales from the same buyers. Understand? If you told them it was your site, then you can sell to them again a couple months down the road. If you didn't, you can still ask (if not told first) about the perfume, kitchen gadget, tv, stereo, or other that they bought. Now you know they are buyers and can attempt future sales. Eventually, if you are a good car salesman, you will have built a list of a few hundred buyers that you can sell to. You are selling as a friend though. You are not selling as a company. You are not an Ad. You are not selling as an organization. You are a friend to them. Ya dig? Could be effective for some, frustrating for others. Will take patience and time. If you are doing fine with sales already, I wouldn't even try it. Just stick with what you know. If you're not, try the car salesman. This has been an IdeaGod idea.

Also, it isn't a trick or con or scheme. You should keep these people as 'friends'. Do not attempt a sale until you feel that you have made progress towards the relationship. Find something in common, create interesting discussion. Within 5 days you should be getting over 100 instant messages from these people within 5 minutes of signing on to your screen name. THEY should be asking YOU for products...if you are a good car salesman

Do you have some numbers to show for it? I will not replicate this because I like to sell to businesses and webmasters but that is definitely faesable...
You could still have a few hundred businesses and webmasters added on your business screen name AOL/AIM/YAHOO/MSN and make friends. If what you are selling is good, I'm sure they would rather buy from a trusted friend at a good price instead of elsewhere....eh?
