Because im going to devote more of my time to my online tv site im thinking of selling one of my other sites. It makes $8,000 a month, how much would this be worth?
8k after accounting for overheads? Depends on what type of website, whether it requires maintenance and a host of other factors? Ball park estimate is roughly one year or 15months revenue subject to other factors.
6 months to a year income. People always want top dollar but it all depends on site and how consistent income is. Adsense is no consistent and call fall if new owne does not update as much as the original owner did.
depends on so many things. main sources of traffic? if its search engines, some buyers don't like that ... next week all your rankings could go... if it needs updating, etc if it has lots of (active) members (forum members, site members etc) (rather than just visitors) to a site it will often increase the price a lot, and so on
Yes 8k after overheads - takes me maximum of 10 minutes a day to check some things - all i need to pay for is server which is less than $100
Unless you seriously need some cash - keep the website. You could probably sell it for $120,000-$150,000....but if it takes 10 minutes per day I would hold onto it.
If it cash flows 8K a month, then you can sell off to a investors I would think $50,000 because they will profit in less than a year. Plus, you could try to have them pay you to upkeep the website, and then you can draw a paycheck on top of the 50k
10 minutes a day? With that sort of money you could either hire someone to do that for you for cheap, or hire some programmer to automate it for you. Then you're just paying for hosting, which looks like it's ridiculously cheap for you for that sort of money. Keep the damn thing.
If you have a website that makes that much with only 10 minutes of work per day you can get $300k if you've got enough history and revenue sources. If it's a fly by night site with little or no history then don't count on much, maybe just a few months revenue.
Also, if it does only take 10 mins a day, you can pay me to work on it for longer, surely you'll then make more...?
