perhaps if you were a little more descriptive in you post, this whole first 2 pages would have been avoided. maybe if you had said something along the lines of

    instead of

the op reffered to a article released by the british press and information was provided from the national records office, so how is it a insult to muhammad? would you say the same if somebody posted a thread saying that john was the second most popular name in saudi arabia do you think that christians would jump all over your thread saying your insulting st john? but let be honest i dont even think there is 1 person born in saudi arabia thats been named john in about 10 years. lets face it, thats never going to happen because there is no free press there

its easier to make a smart ass comment rather than debate the facts, but since there is nothing to disprove what i said then i suppose its to be expected

C'mon buddy, you're taking it too seriously...

America, or UK, or Canada, or such countries are metropolitan. They have huge immigration from all parts of the world. There is a constant influx of new cultures. That is why you see all types of names and cultures and religions.

Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, in a closed country. Though, hundreds of thousands of foreigners work there, you can check it up if you like.

Many Americans and westerners also work there. People of all religions. They are not granted citizenship, but get Permanent Residency.

So, it would be ridiculous to say "i dont even think there is 1 person born in saudi arabia thats been named john in about 10 years."

It is not like that. Now, you cannot demand Arabs name their kids John, can you?

i make no demands of any kind, i simply stipulated the op's motive for posting and put it in different context to highligh how unfounded the acusation that the op started the thread purely to insult mohammed

I can understand the motives of OP. I've been in dialogue with him before. Our viewpoints do not match. I, and many here on DP, understand why he'd choose to post "news" about such a topic.

I know you'd say its no big deal. I agree with that. Its true, it is a famous name.

But it seems like making fun of the Prophet's name, to post it for supposed "discussion". Thats why there were accusations.

Whatever the motivation.. We all have the right to insult Mohammad if we want to. Judgment ultimately is up our maker, not you me or anyone else here, least of all Islam or Christianity or mere mortal man.

Cartman called Jesus a "pig fucker", though not PC, and perhaps sacreligious to some, I found it funny at the time.. I'd find it equally funny had he called Mohammad the same.

Too many people have way to thin a skin here... Does Mohammad really need people to defend him?

a teddy bear inappropriately ... are you in favor of killing in such cases ?

That would have taught a lesson to westerners to stay in their country and not try to HELP those retarded governments/people.
I'm in favor of killing in cases where westerners goes to muslims countries as humanitarian causes: worry about your own people first, care about poverty & misery & bad education in your country. :)
Anyway, those muslims who kill for allah are the real thing, some will say they've been mislead, not at all, that's the core of the latest religion to have its believers spread the love.

Anyway, the god thing is not likely to be resolved anytime soon : religion feeds on ignorance and the need for quick and easy answers/orders.

Religion should be outlawed (at least, illegal to teach children any religion until they have the age to drive) and esperanto language taught in school in most countries possible, that's looking at long terms solutions to those problems..

Just for your information, most Muslims like to add Mohammad before their names.

I beg to differ slightly, we have the right of speech, but we have the right to use or not use it.

Why hurt others feelings by insulting their religion especially for some who are very pious? Be it Islam or Christianity or Judaism or whatever.
