Paypal Limited? Utility Bill? What to do?

I just logged in today and found out that my PayPal account is limited.

I used a VCC to verify my account some months back, and used a bogus address for it. I had no problems until now, no chargebacks or anything like that.

The address in my profile is valid.

My account has been limited due to the reason that they have a "reason to believe that my account is being accessed by a third party". Thats really not possible IMO.

I can access my profile area and view/edit CC info.

I was required to change my Password & Security Questions, which I've already done. They also require me to submit a Utility Bill. I'm not 18 yet, so I do not have electric/telphone bills in my name. Can I submit bills with my fathers name on it?

What exactly should I do now? I hope there's a way out.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I'm not from the US, but I'm from a PayPal accepted country. The problem is, even after 18, the bills wont come in my name - they'll still come in my dads name.

Does it have anything to do with using a VCC? I can submit a new valid CC.

I really don't think that would help. Like wisdomtool just said, I am not eligible to have a PayPal account since I'm not 18 yet.

I really hope there's a way out.

The bills don't have to be in your name.
Simply submit the documents saying that you live with your parents.
I know that there are a lot of people over the age of 18 that still live with their parents.
Nothing wrong with that at all.

ya u have to jst submit the bills.....on ur father name.......if u dnt have ne utility bills on ur name

 

It does not necessary need to be your utility bill but any bills with your name on it. If not, a government-issued ID with your name and address should do the trick. They just want to know that you are who you say you are and that you reside in the address which you provided and you be fine.

 

Offtopic: I have the same problem with paypal but I am over 18, I have submitted all documents, do you guys have any idea how much time does't it take until pp lifts the limit ?

 

Give them a week or so, counting that it is the end of the year and that you are probably one of the hundreds or thousands members who faces the same problem every day. Call them up if you need a status.

 

Done! Just submitted the documents. Also mailed them about the problem to avoid further mis-understandings!

i have notice paypal has limited accounts as hell just for logging into the account from a different IP... i login to my account from my dialup and after few hours when i check my emails i get my account limited again which says someone has tried to go inside my account... i contact email and told them that is me but using different internet because my cable is down and they did not replied me... i scan my bill and send it again to them... i just just tired of paypal and there boring games.... its really annoying me now... and yet i have no other option because most ads network pay me at paypal... so even if i dont want to use them, i have no other option... paypal really sucks and limited a account without any reason... there highly skilled staffs are too stupid to compair the operation system and other computer details... all they do is compair the IP address and ISP's... but too lame to compair OS and other stuff... and yet they call themself as highly skilled trained stuff... this is called paypal.... welcome to paypal hell.....

You can probably get a post paid mobile phone connection and send that bill as proof

I thought that too, but the problem is none of the bills are in my name.

I submitted telephone bills yesterday.. hope the problem gets resolved soon.

i sending a scan copy of my driving lic. so you can get it unlocked by sending a copy of your driving lic. unless paypal ask for credit card bill.... but i dont think once they see your driving lic, then will ask for anymore proof... because a driving lic. is a verified govt. proof and there is no way paypal will not believe a govt. proof...

 

Well, that is true if you submit a real documentation but sadly there are people here who advocate sending photoshopped documentations and if that is the case, Paypal may require further verification if the documents you submit looks fake or is inconsistent.
