http://www.acnefree24.com/ Also..is $19.95 too high for a digital product? In this case the ebook is 60 pages, pretty high quality and it comes with MP3s also. I just put that up and will monitor sales. Just want to know whether i can change more and make it more appealing? G.
1. I think $19.95 is fine for a 60 page e-book plus audio files. 2. The page itself is fine. But is that Times New Roman font at the top? Maybe its just me but its my least favourite. As its always a default font, to me it seems common. Just my .02c
one concern i have is the fact that i use paypal. I like PP very much, but i am afraid it might put people off who are not signed up with paypal? I wonder whether clickbank would be better...
Nice site. Well layed out. Do you have any testimonials? I also agree about the New Times Roman font. I would use Verdana at least. Another payment option people would feel more comfortable with is Google Checkout. I'm not sure, but I think paypal is also an option within their checkout system just like it is with Clickbank.
darn... G Checkout wants a Credit Card..i dont have one right now so i guess i have to stick with paypal. By the way the acne site is the same as i am selling Except that i added some pictures and tweaked it a little bit and i made a new cover with virtual cover creator. Regarding the first font (Georgia 6)..i was playing with it a bit....but when i set all to "verdana" it looks like some tabloid headline..but i might play around with different fonts more.
It seems to me that all sites selling ebooks seem to use the same layout. All content and telling me why I should buy, then BANG. The price comes up. It puts me off buying ebooks when the price is a the bottom. I like... For $20 you will be getting...
I see the usual ebooks about acne on clickbank..and they go for $37 or $47..so i am doing well there, IMHO.
the layaout of the site is exactly as all others that sell similar stuff. i don't know if it works or not, but i've never bought and i never intend to buy anything that is sold at a page like that. but of course there are other people who do buy stuff.
I thought marketing gurus preach that having a sales page (like the acne site here) is the best way to sell ebooks? This is the reason why they are hiring copywriters; to write them a 'tease' sales page. Like huggeone, I'm never buying to any sites like these. It was like I'm being fooled, with lots of 'hey, there's more.' I dunno. I guess it's just a personal preference.
No way 19 is a good price, i would even think about putting it up to say $37. The background is black, a big no no no.... Try a deep green or a navy blue. Black is no no no. no... Also give a free download preview of the ebook, and a free audio file as well, give a taste...
you have good points!! will try! rewrote the sales page a bit yesterday...might change colors as you say.
All sites that sell ebooks are more or less the same, one column with plain text. Why not go original and make it more "jazzy"
example? keep the potential customer in mind. I am defintly not convinced with my current layout. KK gave me a good idea so now i added audio samples to the page and it turned out really nice. But the biggest gripe i have is that, once you load the page, all the way at the top it looks kinf od emtpy. Headline might be too big (???) picture too big...i dont know. It just makes the impression there is not much content unless you scroll a litle further wher it says "my amazing ebook will set an end to this...bla bla" Maybe i need to put another pic at the top.
