is it possible to get a great quality score on trademarked terms in adwords? such as geico or ipod (just an example)...im bidding on quite a few trademarked terms and no matter what i do i cant get it off of a poor quality score.

    Hi,

Did "G" allowing you to run ads. on other companies trademark terms. If yes then you need good CTR and landing page. Make an ad. creative which have power to get good clicks in comparison to impressions. And also make sure that your landing page should also have some link with that brand term.

    Hope this helps you.

    Thanks_

I couldn't even bid on trademark terms, but if you can and have poor quality score, that's better than nothing ;)

But, poor QS can spoil campaign performance.

You should check the Terms of your affiliate contract.

Most companies will keep your commissions if you use their trademark in ppc ads or even keywords. The bad thing is that you'll learn about it maybe two months later after you paid for your campaign.

Always read the terms and the newsletter that the merchant sends you.

They have an ugly habit of changing their terms when an affiliate is making a lot of money of their ppc campaign.

Put information about the trademarked company on your landing page. But be careful to make sure you're not passing off as the actual company. You could say "We compete with xyz, xyz started in...blah blah blah".
