My dream is getting 1st for Car Wallpaper keyword on google! But my opponents had the car wallpaper site before me for 4 - 5 year, and now they're in the top. My site is too new, but can i get 1st in 1 year later if i try word hard ?!?!?
have you done any research into that keyword as i cant imagine it getting many hits. maybe im wrong who knows
In 1 year? For one single keyword? Well, that mainly depends how many backlinks they have with with that specific anchor text. Backlink watch is useful for this - http://www.backlinkwatch.com/ - it'll find quite alot of your competitions backlinks and the anchor text used for the backlink. Find more and better quality backlinks using the anchor text 'car wallpapers' and you will easily beat 'em Try having a site with hundreds of products that didn't get any real hits, then try get the site traffic from Googlers looking for all those products. Ah, life can be fun sometimes Another thought - put your site in your signature, with 'Car Wallpapers' as the anchor text. I'm quietly confident that would get you near enough right up there.
Neither Wordtracker nor Overture is showing any searches for "car wallpaper". Granted, sometimes those two sources do not give accurate listings on DP's Keyword Suggestion tool. But I suspect, as a previous poster said, that "car wallpaper" is a noncompetitive keyword. You might easily work up to #1 or #2 and still get very little traffic. I suggest doing some intensive keyword research (try DP's Keyword Suggestion tool). Pick some KWs that draw some measurable searches and target them.
use googles free sandbox. Its a great little free resource. I often see it left out when ppl list wordtracker and overture. search "car wallpapers" and you got hundreds of results, great keywords. Cuts your keyword research time down. Kingdom
As several posters have said, it is absolutely important that you target keywords that are searched for. It is meaningless to get on Google's first page for keywords that are not searched for. Google "keyword research tool" and try several of them to look for keywords that get a modest amount of searches. Do not target highly competitive keywords at the outset; you'll be stuck on Google's page 50 (or 500!) for a long time if that's all you target. Look for keywords that receive 10, 20, maybe 50 or 100 daily searches. Build them into the URL, the title, and the content of your specific inner pages that focus on these keywords. You'll find it fairly easy doing this to push those pages onto Google's first page for those keywords.
If you invest quite some money and are skilled yes you can I prefer top5 for more keyphrases i'm not doing for that Number 1 spot ...

try first for keyword with less competition, Free Car Wallpaper has less competition than Car Wallpaper. But if you're good in Seo, go for it.
you are choosing a possible bumb note here mate, using the google tool you can see that your prefferd keyword is facing 100% advertiser competition against only a 40% search traffic.

I done some SEO on a site for these keywords, it's on first page for Car Wallpaper, Car Wallpapers, Car Gallery, Car Pictures, Exotic Car Wallpapers, Exotic Cars etc etc. Car Wallpaper will bring you in some traffic, but you really need to go after a number of keywords like the above to bring in a lot of traffic.
You can try to target long-tail or really nichey keywords such as fast car wallpaper, sportscar wallpaper, bmw wallpaper, lambourgini wallpaper, mercedes wallpaper, etc... That way, you can get higher rankings for those not so competitive keywords.
It's not my site, i just done SEO on it. Shouldn't be too hard to work out, i'm quite sure it's the only Car Wallpaper site on the front page for all those terms.
