Hello, Here's how to do it: 1- Go to http://www.google.com 2- Search for any keyword (eg. web hosting ) 3- In your browser address bar type the following: javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0 4- Click on the first listing and edit it as you like! Have fun!

are you sying that you can manipulate the google index with that script and edit worldwide search results? because if you are 1st - thats some really clever stuff 2nd - thats the stupidest thing i have ever seen if this does work (i am certainly not going to try) and once some google employee reads your thread, thay will be workin on the patch probably as i write this. next anyone who has tried this and actually manipulated the google index, then expect a court date soon.
Lol, dude chill out. You fear the authorities waaaayyy to much...Do you think you could access the google indexes with such a simple script? All this does is that it makes the current address editable at your own will, but you can't store this information to google. I thought this was a webmasters forum... for gods sake people, this is only a joke and no you won't be put in a chair or hanged by the government if you type it in your browser.
lol you are serious about that stuff its just a code which will edit the page only your side and not on the internet ...
lol, someone's got to. i just was not sure, the op did not really give much information and i was not being no guinea pig. lol
This is a JS trick which means you can only edit the page you see in your browser window. (JS = client side scripting language). Of course you can't manipulate Google SERP's by this. It's only for fun! Take a look at the JS code; It only makes the current page editable by the user and it works for any web page (try it for this page )
