America's Descent Into a Third World Country Part 2: Parasites in Inner City Children

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by tesla, Dec 27, 2007.

In the United States, a country where the richest 1% eat $1000 omelette's, $50 hamburgers, drink $10,000 martinis and wear $700,000 watches, many of the poorest Americans carry parasitic worms that are normally found in, you guessed it, third world countries! The link to the article is below:
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22398067/

The article says that a quarter of inner city black children are infected with roundworms, and many Hispanic inner city children are infected by tapeworms. These are the same type of worms which are common in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

In my previous thread, America's Descent Into a Third World Country Has Begun, I discussed how people living in Inland Empire in California are now erecting tents to the decline of both the economy and the mortgage market. Now we here that the poorest Americans have tapeworms and roundworms.

It is starting to look more and more like American may soon resemble third world nations faster than what was originally thought.

Whats your point on this thread? I don't know where you live but these parasites are found all over the world not just third world countries. I guess you are just out to bash America. Sounds a bit like jealousy considering you start off by stating the amount of money some American people spend on an omelet.

I'm not surprised you missed the point, since many people can only see things in two dimensions rather than three. The point is, if you read my previous thread about Tent City in Inland Empire, and compare it to this information, and compare it to the what the wealthiest Americans spend, this is more evidence which shows the wealth disparity in the United States, and is further evidence of our descent into a third world country, which is the result of a bad monetary policy, and a bunch of other things.

I also can tell by your post that you didn't read the article, or my first post on this thread. Do you know how I know this? Because I said in my first post that A QUARTER of inner city Black children have roundworms. I didn't say that it was impossible for the U.S. to have parasitic infections, or that only third world countries have them, and the article didn't say that either. It said that the poorest people in the country have these worms in larger numbers, and this is also common in third world countries. If A quarter of inner city Black Children and Hispanics have tapeworms and roundworms, this is not an isolated incident, or a small problem. And for a supposedly first world nation that is supposed to have the most advanced health care system in the world, it is strange that our poorest citizen are afflicted by parasites that should be easy to get rid of or prevent.

As usual Mia, you missed the point. You also didn't think about the fact that a number of the Hispanic children have parents who are not legal citizens of the U.S., who entered the country without getting the proper medical check ups. It is funny how everything is kind of interconnected.

And simplyg123, for the record, I'm not "jealous" of people who can purchase a $1000 omelet. It just so happens in fact that I can afford one, but I'm not stupid enough to buy it, because I know an omelet is not worth $1,000. I don't admire people who waste money, and buying an omelet for $1,000 is a waste of money, because a $5 breakfast omelet at Denny's will do the same thing that the $1,000 will do, and that is get you full!!!!! Is this the best you can do, resort to attacking my views as being a result of me being "jealous," because someone can waste money on an omelet?

The point is, while the top 1% consume at a level not scene since the Gilded Age, the bottom segment is infected with parasites which are common in third world countries. While your government spends billions of your tax dollars to stop Anthrax, and bio attacks, as the article pointed out, we have people in the population who are infected by harmful parasites, which they can spread to other people by the way, so those of you who are Middle Class better not think you're protected, because if your kids are in public schools, they may be sitting next to students who have these worms, and they may be using bathroom by kids who have these worms.

That is the point of the thread, it is a shame that I had to come in here and spell it out. Any well informed person could read the thread and make the connections. Attacking me for bashing America, or being jealous of Americans who waste their money on $1000, shows that you guys have no strong arguments.

I never said the parasites were not found all over the world, but they seem to occur in large numbers in inner city Black and Hispanic children. Hey, do the kids who go to the private schools in Brentwood have large amounts of tapeworms or roundworms? What about the kids who go to the private schools in Malibu or Manhattan?

What you and Mia are really attempting to do is dismiss the information present on this thread, because it "only affects inner city Blacks and Hispanics." And since this is the "bottom" segment of the population, it can be overlooked, it is no big deal. Unfortunately, if you think this, you're wrong, because a major epidemic can occur simply from one person being infected with a virus or parasite, and when the information presented in this thread is compared to the data present in all the other threads I've started in this forum this year, A bunch of puzzle pieces come together to create the shape of an emerging third world nation, unless changes are made immediately.

In a true first world nation, not segment of the population would have a quarter of its children who are infected by parasites. First world nations maintain a high standard of health care, and even its poorest citizens would have access to it. Further more, while it would be impossible to get rid or all disease or infections, in a first world country, they would be kept in check, and they would not be present in levels which are comparable to third world nations.

Actually what it shows is that we overpay people in Hollywood and professional sports...

I got the point... Enough already... You are on the doom and gloom kick again. All the illegals around me have better health care than I do... And they do not have to pay for it... Personally the more Mexicans in the US, the better.. They work hard, have great family values, are neat, kind, helpful, and best of all are predominantly Catholic.

Yeah, I kinda think you are... Anyway, the only people spending money like that are people like John Edwards.. You know, that "son of a mill worker" who is for us working class people....

The real point is that top 1% pays half of all the taxes in this country... Chew on that for a while..

Go spread your doom and gloom somewhere else.. It gets old.

They have better health care than you do, yet you want the country to be flooded with more of them.........that makes a lot of sense, but given the many ludicrous posts you've made this year, I'm not surprised by anything you say. You say that you get what I said in my previous post, yet you come in and say that we need more immigrants in the country. Didn't the article I just link to in this thread state that Hispanic inner city children, many of which are children of illegals, have parasitic worms? Why would you want more people coming into the country who are not getting the proper health checks? Does this make any sense?

I think this post tops the post you made two months ago, that despite the fact that illegals get better health care than you do, and they don't even pay for this health care, having more of them in the U.S. is great, especially since they are Catholics. Hey, if you like paying an increasing amount of taxes for them, be sure to vote for Hillary, her Universal Health care plan should do the trick.

Please go read more books on finance, you really need to touch up on your skills, I continue to school you in this forum on a regular basis, this is the only reason why you want me to take my doom and gloom someplace else, because you don't have any logic which counters my arguments, you never do. Everything I posted in this forum has been based on facts, the best you can do is resort to attacks of calling me jealous and other things like that, anyone with a brain who reads this thread can see that you have nothing of substance to show why I'm wrong. You just accuse me of America bashing. This is the same weak argument that Gtech uses.

If you knew anything about finance(you don't trust me), you'd know that the top 1% of Americans HAVE lots of money, and that money isn't taxed by the IRS, so who cares if they pay half of all the taxes, when they still control 48% of the wealth? This is just one of the many flaws I've pointed out in your arguments this year Mia, and I'm not the only one..........finding flaws in your arguments is incredibly easy. Wealth and income isn't the same thing, and anyone who knows anything about finance would realize this.

I'm not sure where you're getting your knowledge of finance and money from, but whoever is providing you with the information doesn't know what they're talking about. I'm no expert, but I know enough to realize that, if a man HAS $20 million in the bank, he isn't going to pay any taxes on it unless he gets interest on it.

The top 1% HAVE lots of money, the only thing that is taxed is their income, I didn't even have to chew on it for a while.

The US has some issues and two of the biggest are healthcare and illegal immigration.

Why does the US need illegal immigration when we have a system of legal immigration that allows 1 million immigrants a year. The number can be increased if necessary. Illegal immigration is a a backdoor to choas.

Millions of illegal aliens are crossing the border with no health checks. When they get sick, who picks up the tab. I see in the article that 2% of hispanics are infected with worms. When you just look at the number of illegals the number is probably at 10%. These are the same people picking your produce or preparing your food.

The second issue is that the US needs a system of healthcare.

Just spending taxpayer money with the same system is throwing money down a black hole.

Instead of wasting taxpayer money having students studying garbage for free at State Colleges it's to shift them into fields the US needs like healthcare. Guess what? You want to study for free. Study what we need or pay for it yourself.

We need to increase the numbers of doctors. A large medical school like George Washington University in Dc only has a couple hundred students. Why? The American Medical Association aka doctor's union is limiting the supply of doctors so they can charge more.

Why do you think there are so many american medical schools in places like greneda or mexico? Why does the US need so many foreign doctors?

I didn't even know about this, this country has so much corruption, I sometimes wonder if it will even be possible for us to turn things around. Yeah, the health care in this country is a joke, I could write a book about how corrupt it is. I think I will buy a book on it.

What I get out of this is that you do not like Mexicans...

Sure seems like you have a problem with Mexicans

No need to read a book.. I just went to the US Dept of Revenue Web site.. The numbers are there. The break down of tax revenues per income group are listed there.

I bolded another one of your mis-truths for you.. Sometimes spelling it out helps...

I've simply called you out, and you are upset about it. That substance enough for you?

US DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY !!!!

Here is where I am getting it:

The cost of these special eggs are so high, actually $1000 is very reasonable for the omelette.:) The hens that lay these eggs reside in a fancy barn mansion with chandeliers. They only drink special bottled water and sit on red velvet chairs. I have been told they have private parties every saturday night and invite all of the VIP chickens.

It's not the omelet that cost $1000, it's the beluga caviar that is on the omelet.

Ring worm is a fungus, he is talking about round worms and tape worms which are parasites. But yeah, I think they make over the counter stuff for that.
