comment post backlink - how long ?

hi all,

lets say that i've posted a comment on a dofollow blog, with the name = keywords of my blog..how long will the link will be counted as a backlink to my blog by Google and Yahoo ? is this the fastest way to get backlinks ?

a week ? 2-3 days ? anyone analyze this ? or it depends on the blog rank and traffic of that blog ? tq

 

Yahoo picks them up and shows them pretty fast - say one to two weeks. Also, Yahoo is not as selective as Google in what backlinks it will show - in general Yahoo shows a lot more backlinks.

Google might wait 2-3 or more months to update backlinks and then it is not as comprehensive - they say Google shows a sampling of backlinks, also it is believed Google discounts or ignores low quality links such as signature links so they may not show up at all in Google.

 

It all depends on the how frequent the spiders come by.

oh how do i ping the url post ? meaning ping in the comment itself or what ? hmm

 

I have 500 more links from Google than I do Yahoo currently (using webmaster tools vs site explorer).
