I was just in a thread where someone got there MB account suspended for getting caught doing money exchanges. This is against the term of services for both MB and Paypal.

The OP pointed out that DP even has a sticky about these types of trading:

Does this mean that DP is now encouraging money exchanging (#1 scam problem on here)?

Seems to me that DP is putting out a welcome sign for scammers to join.

That post is stickied because some members have found it useful - not as an endorsement of money exchanges.
I personally would ban them entirely from DP because 90% of the scams I hear about are directly related.

DP is a forum, there are all kinds of people on the forum, phone scammers, honest people, spammers and what not. What users post on the forum isn't something that DP can monitor word for word. If we discover something illegal or suspicious, I am sure as responsible members we can to click on the triangle with ! on the top right hand corner of the post.

I agree and have said it over and over, they should ban the exchanges and it would clean up the forum.

It may be helpful but making it a sticky puts it right on top and makes it look like it is an endorsement for those looking at the forum.

Here is an example now that the guy got caught by MB, he says well the sticky said I could do it:

Sorry, but he's not going to get any sympathy from me about losing his MB.
The argument that "it was stickied so I though it was legit" is absolutely absurd too - you can buy murder mystery novels, but it's no defence if you actually go out and kill someone!

We encourage you to use your head.

I personally discourage all money exchanging on any forum. I think most mods would agree but I do not want to nor do I speak for them all.

You really need to be responsible for your actions. It is impossible for us to police all the transactions on this site.
