How to get many guests to my forum?

    Hello, I own http://fmdiscussion.com it started a few days ago. I'm wondering how I can get 10+ guests online at a time. I see many forums with 100+ guests and I'm wondering how can i get this. How can I build some back links to my site. Any suggestions are welcome.

    i suggest you search engine and directory submission
    how can people find out your forum if not listed on search engines:)

    Get it listed in directories - improve serps to bring traffic - it won't happen overnight but start a consistant and focused campaign to increase popularity.

    Quick question on topic. This thread is helping me too...

    1) How many directory submissions are needed?
    2) Can anyone offer a few good directories to start with?
    (I know there are some listed on this forum's banners and what-not. But what are good ones that you have tried?)

    There is no limit to the amount of directory submissions you should do, do as many as you can, every link in a directory helps.
    As for directories go to directorycritic.com, theres thousands of directories there.
    Also don't waste your time submitting to search engines. Google and other search engines will start to find your site themselves and start to index it.

    People nowadays resort to employ forum posters to make more threads and to increase the traffic. Meanwhile you do the SEO work and get good backlinks. Once your forum becomes popular and traffic improves, you need not depend on the forum posters. Every one voluntarily will come and participate :)
