Paris Hilton is Broke- Family Fortune has been donated to charity

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton's potential inheritance dramatically diminished after her grandfather Barron Hilton announced plans on Wednesday to donate 97 percent of his $2.3 billion fortune to charity.

Jerry Oppenheimer, who profiled the Hilton family in his 2006 book "House of Hilton," has said Barron Hilton is embarrassed by the behavior of his socialite granddaughter Paris and believes it has sullied the family name.

Good. Though she can make A LOT of money off her name alone so I don't think she even cares.

 

Does he not think that would happen to him as well? Rich old people do this all the time before they are about to die to make themselves feel better for the shitty life they have lived (assumptions gone wild), their kids hire really really expensive lawyers that contest the will and say the old guy was crazy, and the money gets given to the children.

And this is not really to spite Paris but more her parents and aunts and uncles because that is where the money would go to first.

Another thing to note is that the trust is run by his Son already so he is in control of the money anyway.

Plus shes worth about $500 million on her own now anyway.

Not sure she is worth 500 million she only made 8 million in the best year. She is only famous because the grand fathers money.

 

With most of their family's fortune going to charity, she should change her lifestyle.

 

Im pretty sure shes famous because of a certain movie that she made. Than again she never would have gotten famous from that movie if her last name was not Paris so I guess your right.

I believe Bill Gates is also doing this, except with an even higher percentage going to charity, however, Bill did only start with around 1 million, so I guess his children should be treated similar.
