3 way link exchange. Any reason why not?

    Seems to me that 3 way link exchange is a decent way to go.
    [I.e. swap site A links to B EXCHANGE FOR site B links to C]
    [Where one person owns A and C and the other person owns B.]

    My understanding is that the conditions should be
    - equal quality of pages (PR, perhaps traffic?)
    - equal quality of links (link position on page as viewed by user, link sequence number when viewed by SE bot, total no of outgoing links, total no of links)
    - all sites are quality - no gambling, porn, drugs etc.

    Are there any other conditions and is there any reason not to do this?

    Google can see this kind of link exchange as it can see reciprocal.

    So how about 4-way?

    I.e.
    A --> B
    C --> D

    One person owns A and D, the other person owns B and C .

    Maybe better, but A - C and B - C will have links between them for sure, if they don't that's better

    with google algo being longer than a train, who knows what they can detect. but for sure its lot harder for google to detect relationship between the sites exchanging links in this manner

    Well, it's also a good idea if both of you will agree...

    All right my head is starting to hurt. Thing is that reciprocal linking is against Googles guidelines so do it at your own risk and possible peril.

    hello,
    google cant see 3way link exchange if u follow this condition

    ie..
    person A having two site A1 and A2 both must be hosted on different IP's
    person B having one site B1

    so if person A put B1 site's link on A1 and person B put A2's link on B1 than how can google will identity 3 way link exchange??

    you must host your site on different ip's to get benefits of 3way link exchange.
