pretty excited as i just saw that i rank in top 3 for the following keywords: fender blues junior fender blues jr fender blues junior amps buy fender blues junior buy fender blues jr fender blues junior deals fender blues jr deals the site is http://FenderBluesJunioramps.com pretty cool that i rank above some very big music gear sites for a very popular amp. Now i just need some ebay sales to start converting. But i'm making about $150 a month from this site and i don'w do any work on it. the only work i did was initial set-up and SEO...
Dude that's great. Those aren't easy keywords to get ranked highly for, and I know the work that you must have put in to get them there. Do you mind sharing any of the techniques you used to get your pages ranked that well? Are you making more with the Adsense or CJ products?
Word to the wise: Don't post your keywords in DP threads - the thread may end-up ranking higher than your website.
Sure, here are some basic pointers: first i researched how many searches their were for this keyword with SEO book keyword tool http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/index.php once i knew the keywords i wanted to use i ranked them in order of imprtance: 1. Fender blue4s Juni0r 2.Fender Blues Jr 3. etc I kept this in mind when writing ALL of my content. So whenever my writing instinct told me to use the word "amp" i used "fender blues junior" instead. i did the same tye of thing for other keywords i also made sure all my page titles had my keyword in it. then i tried getting inbound links with my keyword as anchor text (see my sig. for an example) Then i just kept tracking in my google analytics to see what was working and what wasn't. other things that really help: PHPbay pro plugin automatically updates the ebay auctions. those auctions give me fresh content with LOTS of keywords. Also, since i'm using a wordpress blog for the site i have the "all in one SEO pack" plugin tha helps. I think it also helps a lot that i have good content. I have a bounce rate below 30%. avg time on site is almost 4 minutes, visitors have almost 5 pages per visit. All that tells google i have a useful site... In terms of earning most the income is from CJ. not so much from adsense. site gets about 150 visitors a day, but on the rise with my new rankings! hope that helps!!!
Very good information. Everyone should really take a look at his site. It's the perfect format for doing affiliate / adsense biz. The beauty of it is the simplicity of the design. Not a lot of BS, but it has enough content to get ranked and it looks like a professional, quality site with the images etc. The best part is you can set a page like this up as a template and just crank out page after page when you have good ideas.
thanks for the nice comments! yes, it's very easy to set up with wordpress. Find a theme you like (one that's clean looking) replace some of the images (for sure the header image) and then just start pounding out the pages. I'm using the Sublt wordpress theme if anyone wants to know. It's a tricky theme to work with b/c the back end is a little complex. The CSS is kind of hard to edit. But it has some nice features. I put 2 good weeks of work into the site, but since then it's pretty much been on auto-pilot. i make a few small tweaks here and there....
proof that keyword rich .com domains work if you have relevant content on them. i was #2 within 20 hrs for a niche that get around 2000 searches a month in google. the other keyword domain sits at #17 i just bought these domains yesterday and did everything within 30 mins. then I dugg the sites main pages and now they are where they are. not even 24 hr old sites! i did get 15-20 links towards each domain from someone here just for the added insurance though. those should be all up in the next two weeks. will keep blogging on them to see what happens. great job! you're #4!
true, but i think that's partly the point. If you want to rank high don't bother with the most competitive keywords. find something in the middle...
I'm not sure if this is proof for a keyword rich domain name. I could have the same results with a branded domain. who knows that my ranks aren't purely based on page content...
They're not suppose to be, niches are the way to go these days or you'll frustrate yourself trying to go for the competitive stuff well, depends on what's considered a competive keyword or not. you can try and see if the same content work on a non related domain. but then again. there's no data for the rest of the keywords (cause they are long tails?) seems the only keyword that's good out of the list is fender blues junior amps from my research on that but long tails do bring a lil traffic. but that is somewhat of a niche keyword though.
Very good information. Really cool!! How can you push this keywords up in google index? Just doing this?
