From your experience, how many page impressions and/or click will it take a website to earn $1000 per day. :)

It depends - you might need to receive over 20,000 + unique visitors, 500,000 + impressions, and probably around 400 clicks or so.

based on a moderate of 5 dollar per thousand you would need 200.000 impressions, so 20.000 visitors per day is a good estimate. This amount is unlikely to be reached with a new website unless you will develop a super site or have a large marketing budget haha

$5 per thousand unique visitors? I hope you aren't serious.

I would say 1-2M impressions per day, depending on the category.

If I had that kind of traffic, I would be making a hell of a lot more than a $1,000 a day.

I keep getting blown away when I read about so many web owners busting their asses off for cents per visitor due to adsense.

Sure, some are limited as to what they can do due to content, but damn, start thinking outside of the box. Adsense is a nice little xtra stream, but there is bigger fish out there.

Hell, 20,000 visitors with a SHITTY conversion rate of 0.5% multiplied by an average sell commission of $20 (which is one of the lowest I'd ever consider) is still $2,000.

Yes, there are thousands of variables involved with each site. But with 20k visitors, I'd be pretty damn motivated to come up with something rather than just AdSense. And I'd definately cash in :D.

If just 400 clicks a day paid $1000 I'd be one happy camper!

I'd be happy to have $200/day but for $1000/day I'm with cpvr on this... with continued good content about 500K+ quality impressions/day :)

If one of my sites was getting 20,000 visitors a day, you had best believe that adsense would then take a back seat as far as me generating income from that site.
If not my own products, I would find products that fit my site and become an affiliate of those products.
Then I would put those products up front, in excellent view of all visitors.

Got to remember, adsense revenue is derived from how much google gets from the advertisers.
And if you have adsense on your site and they are ads that will only pay 1 cent to one dollar per click, your share will be only part of that.
Say each click makes you one cent, you would need 100 clicks to get a dollar.
Or 100,000 clicks to make a thousand dollars.

You have no control over the amount of the click, google does.
It would be nice to have only adsense ads that paid those $10-$100 per click on your site.
Those high paying ads are only on high traffic sites, content sites that the advertisers want their ads on.

Why I put some decent products I either own or am affiliated with on each of my content sites.
Why put up a debt site with just adsense like so many do?
Put in text links, banners, for good affiliate programs that have to do with debt.
Clickbank marketplace has a ton of good products to sell on your site, no matter what the subject of the site is.
Anyone that would click on an adsense ad for debt relief, would also click on an ad for a debt relief program.
And you will make more money being an affiliate than adsense will pay you.
The odd thing is this...sometimes (maybe closer to always) the adsense ad for a debt relief course or ebook is an affiliate for the same product you could be selling yourself.

    16 cents a click!
Somehow, most people think that each click on an adsense ad is worth dollars, and not pennies!
Have to keep in mind, the ads pay only what the advertisers are paying and what google gives you out of that.
There is on google a somewhat convoluted explanation of the costs of the ads, how advertisers can have their ads placed only where they want, how the keywords pay differently for each site, traffic to the site, content of the site, etc.

Face it, an advertiser paying say $50 a keyword for audi autos certainly wants his ads placed by google on good auto sites. Usually that means high traffic auto sites.
So a new site on autos is going to get the low paying advertisers until google decides the site has enough traffic to up the higher paying ads.

anything over $20 a day to me is a blessing and im very thankful to be making that much, people come along and say yes they make this that and that.. What if a hacker or someone DDOS'es the site and it goes offline for a long period of time, they are screwed.

Lots of people are taking adsense for granted, at time i do also but then again, who am i kidding.. free money :p

It's NOT free money!! It's only free money if you value your own time at $0/hour. Statments like that make newbies think they can build a mesothelioma site and strike it rich in a week.

Wow, 1000 users = $1000? What kind of CTR are you basing that on?

    LOL

That, or think they should pay PPC for traffic in hopes to generate cash from AdSense. I've actually seen Newb's ask advice if they should try that...
