Well he has a point.

If you know about Hitlers whole campaign then you will know that he was just following what he believed would create a much better world. He essentially was a good person, he wanted to create a perfect world. Okay so his world isn't the same as what we think as a perfect world, but then again, how many other people would think a perfect world is the same as what I do? I'm willing to bet near to none.

Entertainment probably wasn't the best section for this...

 

I guess he just want to see the best in people, even the most notorious people in history.

 

Thats happen when a lot of money and fame dont let you think as a human being anymore

Actually, i'd assume they have more brains than to do that. In a nutshell, the Title of this thread and others made up by the media to sensationalise out of context what Will Smith says will only affect those who are stupid enough not to read the original statement.

When I saw this thread I said whaaaaaaaaaaaat? But did read the yahoo post about what was said. Smith must really have to dig to see the best in Hitler. But like what the story said about Smith's thinking was

I wonder if that is really true. Considering all the camps. OR did Hitler just have a war mentallity and think that since its just war. Eventually someone will get hurt mentallity. But I dont think that is possibly since he wanted to rid of Jews, homosexuals, mentally challenged and burn any books that opposed his way of thinking.

And I dont think Smith is on crack. Just needs to do more research....Or just not try and second guess a world figure as Hitler.

 

No Will Smith is quite right. No one believes the actions they're performing are evil, not even Hitler. He believed he was doing the right thing and thats what Will Smith is saying, he is not saying he was a good man.

I'm fairly certain that Hitler was well aware of what he was doing.. He was well aware of the difference between right and wrong, and even more aware that grilling up humans was not right.

 

Will Smith had a good point in that evil men don't necessarily set out to commit the most evil acts that they can do. Of course the media spun it so that they could sell more newspapers and they twisted the words that Will said. What a lousy thing for the media to do to sell more papers and make more money!
