Ultra conservative win in Gujrat..

The conservative right wing party BJP won with 2/3rd majority in Gujrat.
The secular centrist congress managed to grab meager 62 seats (Although better than 2002).

The credit of this overwhelming win goes to no other than Narendra Modi. People called him Anti Muslim, Merchant of death and what not, yet his magic worked because of his anti-corruption and pro-development image.

The poll results were shocking to some, as almost all the exit polls estimation hinted a hung assembly or a congress win.

Modi's first response after the win was -"I'm CM, I'll be CM for ever. For me CM is Common Man".

As usual, leftists started moaning about 'Communal Threat' right after the poll results went public.

I don't think it will derail economical growth. Narendra Modi is called a man of progress and developments. Gujarat is big industrial state. They produce India's major share of cotton and synthetic fabrics.

 

I live in Gujarat. and Yes I am happy to see that there is someone who is working for progress. It can be BJP or it can be Congress all that matters to a Common man is economical progress of his state country or region which in return gives him a sense of security and freedom.

Modi is not in compliance with Indian constitution. During the Gujarat Riot everyone knows that he could have done lot more to sustain the situation in Gujarat.

 

Well, the results reflects what was campaigned.

BJP as expected projected Narendra Modi (NM), the "Baagi (Truant)" shouted "NM ko hatao", and the only opposition remaining in Congress too follow the same bandwagon with "NM is a murderer".

Now whole scenario was nothing else than that one and only NM... and results depicts the same .. one and only NM.

BTW .. I am from Gujarat, and it’s most peaceful of the state in whole of India, despite the occasional riots (Need to be checked out that, more riots have taken place during the period of Non-BJP Govt. in my state .. and don't use those biased Media who like to tarnish the image of Gujarat often). Just imagine, the para-military forces deployed during election, were simply taken aghast by the behavior and discipline of the people of my state seen during whole voting tenure.

Modi has not declared himself a dictator like one called Musharraf. He is a democratically elected leader.Calling it undemocratic is an insult to 49% of Voters of Gujarat who voted for BJP.

This Modi dude is a hindu extremist who could care less when some of his constituents who happened to be muslim were getting massacred. He is the leader only to the hindu population in Gujarat. He is a hindu fanatic who was denied entry to the US this year.
He is NOT an ultra-conservative but a hindu nutcase.

 

This Modi dude is a great man of work, he is better than a man called Lalu Prasad Yadav who is ultra corrupt, he is better than the man called Manmohan singh who is most stupid puppet India could see. He is better than most of the politicians. And that is why he led BJP to an overwhelming win against all odds period.

The majority of people NM manages to piss off are either Muslims, because the state of Gujarat does not do the ass licking of Muslims, and Communists.

Accusations of him allowing people to massacre Muslims are totally false, he acted as timely to stop the violence as any other more 'secular' CM would have done. The Violence started on 28th of February and he called Army on 1st March. Government of Gujarat acted far better than the government of Congress during 1984 Anti-sikh riots.

 

Buddy, He is a MAN, who sent a very clear message to ALL, not any minority in particular, that nothing should come in between the Progress and Peace of Gujarat, political parties apart.

You just take off this guy from Gujarat Politics and I strongly feel, it would have been a Hung Govt. mandate.

 

Yes, that's why he has been declared persona non-grata in the US.

 

Who gives a damn what US thinks about Modi? What people of Gujarat think about him, all that matters.
