    Hi there,

I need some advice on good programs to rent ad space... or monetizing my blog in general.

I have a blog (link below) with fairly good traffic (200/300 uniques/ day), PG4, the blog is over a year old and updated three times a week. I blog because I love it and my main goal isn't to make money. However, I'd appreciate getting a couple of hundreds a months out of it... if I could. That would be my goal for now.

I recently started to monetize my blog a little bit, but I must admit I'm more of a writer/ artist than a marketing expert!

I signed up with Adsense but I make no money from it. The ads displayed at the bottom of my posts aren't relevant at all... and my placement is probably not the best, I admit it.

I also use Project Wonderful, and I love it. I've been using it for a month now and I actually get a bit of money, so that's cool.

I also use TextLinkAds... I sold one link, brings me about $10/ month but I don't seem to be able to sell more link. They put me in that "special marketplace" blahblahblah and it doesn't seem to bring a lot of advertisers to my blog.

And... that's how far I am right now!

As I said, I don't blog for money, so I don't want to spend a lot of time on trading links, selling ad space etc. I would like to join a couple of good programs, that's about it.

Oh, and by the way, no PPP or similar for me... I hate that ;)

So, do you know any good program to rent ad space? Or do you have any advice for me?

    Thanks a lot!

Private ad sales are one of the best ways to make money. I'd look at openads.org. What do you blog about?

Try finding some affiliate products that relate to blog topics. A few sales makes more than adsense will

Drig: I'm French and immigrated to Canada a few years ago. I mostly blog about immigration, current issues, politics, work life, pictures of Canada etc. Nothing really personal (i.e: me, myself and I).

I'm gonna have a look into openads, thanks!

Rcj662: sorry for being so... well, so new to that, but what do you mean by "affiliate"? I never know exactly what it is!

Affiliate is when you get paid for originating a sale. For example, someone clicks on an ad on your site, goes to the persons sites, buys something, then you get some sort of commission.
