More accurate is: the free appraisal at zetetic (although you have to leave your email, which is then sometimes used to contact you later on)
To satisfy my idle curiosity, I have tried to appraise my domain names (see http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=199789) via free zenetic appraisal. It seems to me that zenetic.com takes only the length of name into account: savvypower.com - US$1010 brisklogic.com - US$1010 and dfgacghish.com is $1010 too! But zenetic appraisal for cellfighter.com is US$17270. Maybe zenetic takes some statistics into account (like number of links) for real sites
There is no such thing as automatic (software) appraisal. The process is very subjective. It may (a big ?) work for several standard cases such as 2-3 letter .com, 2 letter-number .com, etc.
From real experts, but even then, as I wrote in my other post, it's a price range. Domains are hard to appraise because they're very subjective.
I just vented my curiosity by using this particular tool to appriase my domain name and i found out that the domain was appraised for 15000$-22000$ whiles its only worth 150$, roflmao
Well, it did get my main site about right: eHDMI.com Over $250,000 NintendoDS.biz came in at $40-$60,000....WAY too much Although, I'll take that.I sent off for that other companies appraisal.
