transferring a domain

    is it possible to transfer a domain for free, and how much does it cost? does the sender or reciever pay?

    I'm pretty sure it's the received that pays. You can transfer domains for free through the same provider sometimes (it depends, not all domain hosting companies offer this).

    Yes 8everything is 100% correct in this. :) Most also give the next owner another year of registration when they transfer to them ;)
