I actually had harder to learn HTML than CSS because when I first learned HTML I didn't have a clue bout nothing lol. I'm not "fully learned" in CSS though, but for me it was easier to get to know the basics of it. PHP was the hardest though (as I said earlier).

I think CSS is harder since different browsers act different ways. PHP at least (in my experience) acts the way it's suppose to. CSS on the other hand is a turkey shoot.

I believe Netscape uses PHP differently but it all ends up working somehow. I do not use Netscape anymore so I am unsure. Plus Netscape and Internet Explorer comprehend CSS the same.

Robert, PHP is used by the server, not the browser. Netscape wouldn't know PHP is even involved since all it would ever see is the HTML/CSS/JavaScript output, not the PHP code itself.

True but different browsers interpret the codes differently depending on version or construction. Speaking as on certain browsers and parental controls you can control weather to display .php, .jpg, and many others so that the child/blocked person may not access images or websites.

Once you learn the basics of a programming language, learning any other language like PHP, ASP, etc. should be easy. At that point it is no longer a matter of learning how to program as it is just learning syntax.

HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP... don't seem that difficult to me.

I for one cannot stand JavaScript. I haven't messed with CSS, but it seems to make sense. PHP and ASP seem to make sense as well. HTML isn't really programming, it is just formatting... so it should be the easiest of all.

That's because browsers have different default margins, padding and other styles applied to the elements on the page. It doesn't matter if you use written or generated HTML - all the browsers see is the HTML, CSS and JavaScript anyway.

Browsers only see Javascript and some CSS if you have the right plugins (ex. Sun Java)

You know, when you have NO clue what you are talking about, better not to say anything. Netscape doesn't give a rats ass if the html it recieves is made in PHP or not - php outputs HTML, on the client side it makes NO DIFFERENCE... blocking .php with parental controls would be EXTREMELY stupid - at that point you might as well block .pl, .asp, .cgi ... and at that point, .html as well. Sorry, not going to happen.

As to the 'right plugins' - just wow. Plugins have jack **** to do with javascript, as javascript is built in to all major browser engines. JAVA relies on a plugin, but that has NOTHING to do with CSS, Javsascript or anything else. Javascript is NOT Java, and does not require plugins in any REAL browser. (Opera, Mozilla, IE or Safari) - likewise for CSS.

Just... wow. The mind boggles on how people will run their mouths on things they apparantly know NOTHING about.

Darn, deathshadow beat me to it. Oh well. Enjoying not one but two Christmas parties plus a Christmas get-together (it was a gaming day) will do that to a person. :)
